Sony RX0 II Action Camera Launched
Posted in: Today's ChiliWhen it comes to action cameras, GoPro has been more or less the leader in that space. However Sony has been challenging GoPro in that space and with the company’s latest offering, the Sony RX0 II, it looks like they could make a pretty compelling argument.
The RX0 II, as its name implies, will be the successor to the Sony RX0 that was launched in 2017. It has been about 2 years since the previous launch so it was due for a refresh. What makes Sony’s offering interesting is how it actually comes with a tiny flip-up display which will be useful when trying to capture weird angles or selfies.
That has actually been one of the problems of the GoPro where the display has always sat flush against the body of the camera. This made it a bit hard to see what you were filming, but with the Sony RX0 II’s flip display, it will make things easier. It will also come equipped with a Zeiss Tessar T 24mm F4 fixed wide-angle lens, and will also come with the usual rugged features one might expect from such a device.
This includes water-resistance up to 33 feet, crush-resistance of up to 400 pounds of pressure, and can also withstand being dropped from a height of 6.5 feet. There will also be support for 4K video recording at 30fps. Unfortunately the RX0 II does not come cheap and is priced at $700 and is expected to go on sale next month.

Samsung has launched its biggest A-series phone ever, and it has a pretty impressive camera setup, too. The Galaxy A70 packs a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED 20:9 1,080 x 2,400 display with an “Infinity-U” notch. That houses the 32-megapixel, f/2.0 selfie cam…

Samsung’s mid-range smartphones have been improving over the years where we’re starting to see the company incorporate features that might have otherwise been reserved for their flagships. This means that if you’d rather not drop $1,000 on a high-end flagship, Samsung’s mid-rangers could be a worthy alternative.
Such is the case with the recently announced Samsung Galaxy A70. This is a phone part of Samsung’s Galaxy A mid-range series and it comes with some pretty decent specs. Starting with the display, it seems that Samsung has opted to give it an edge-to-edge display with a U-shaped notch at the top of the screen.
It is a 6.7-inch display with a resolution of 1080×2400 which is actually quite big. It also uses an octa-core chipset, although Samsung does not mention the make or model, and is accompanied by 6 or 8GB of RAM. It will also feature a triple camera on the back with a main 32MP f/1.7 camera, an ultra-wide 8MP f/2.2 camera, and a depth-sensing 5MP f/2.2 camera. On the front there will be a 32MP f/2.0 camera.
The phone will also be packing a 4,500mAh battery which should last you a good amount of time, and will also support Super Fast Charging. There will also be the use of an on-screen fingerprint sensor and facial recognition for security. No word on pricing just yet, but Samsung is expected to officially announce more details on the 10th of April, so check back with us then for more updates.
