Zack Snyder Confirms That The ‘Snyder Cut’ Of Justice League Is Real

Director Zack Snyder was set to direct the DCEU’s Justice League movie, and he did for a while, at least until a family tragedy struck where he was forced to take a break from work. He eventually handed the reins over to Joss Whedon where massive reshoots were made that affected the end result of the movie.

There have been many wondering had Snyder successfully finished directing the movie, would it have been better than Whedon’s take? So much so that there have been rumors that there is actually a “Snyder cut” version of the movie that would have given us a look at what Snyder’s take on Justice League could look like. As it turns out, the rumors were true.

During the Director’s Cuts fundraiser event, Snyder spoke with fans where according to one fan recording, the director confirmed that the alleged Snyder cut does exist, and that it is done. He also claims to have a “bunch of them”, but unfortunately whether or not they will be released seems to be entirely up to Warner Bros.

Snyder also alluded to the fact that his cut of Justice League would have run for 214 minutes, making it a little over 3.5 hours, making it longer than Marvel’s upcoming Avengers: Endgame which is said to clock in just over 3 hours. It is unclear as to whether or not Warner Bros. will ever release the Snyder cut of the movie, but it is something that fans are undoubtedly very curious about.

Apple Has Officially Cancelled The AirPower

In what feels like an early April Fool’s joke, it seems that Apple has cancelled its upcoming AirPower wireless charging mat. Unfortunately, for those who were looking forward to it, it is no joke as the company has since officially confirmed that they have cancelled the production of the accessory.

In a statement made to TechCrunch, Dan Riccio, Apple’s senior vice president of Hardware Engineering said, “After much effort, we’ve concluded AirPower will not achieve our high standards and we have cancelled the project. We apologize to those customers who were looking forward to this launch. We continue to believe that the future is wireless and are committed to push the wireless experience forward.”

If you’re shocked at this piece of news, you’re not alone. This is because just last week, a new image of the AirPower was discovered hidden in Apple’s website. The accessory was once again pictured on the packaging of the second-gen AirPods, with rumors that it might even be launched this week, but that clearly will not be coming to pass.

It is also a bit unprecedented for Apple because the company has never cancelled a product after it has been officially announced, making this a very rare instance. There have been reports in the past that Apple could be looking to shelve the project due to various hardware issues, but then it started to look like the company had managed to figure out a way around them.

While it is disappointing, we’re sure that in the long run, it will pay off since it would be better to cancel a subpar product than to release one and get inundated with hardware issues. Apple has been exploring wireless charging ideas in the past from what we can tell of its various patents, so this is definitely not the last we’ve seen from the company.

Google Accidentally Leaks Its ‘Nest Hub Max’ Smart Display

Ever since Google acquired Nest back in 2014, both companies have sort of continued to run as separate entities, with each company putting out their own set of products. However, it seems that could change because in a leak on its own website, Google might have accidentally revealed an upcoming product called the Nest Hub Max.

Based on the name, the Nest Hub Max sounds like it is related to the Google Home Hub, which coincidentally enough was also leaked by Google themselves ahead of its official announcement. According to Google’s website, they have described the Nest Hub Max as being a smart display that comes with a Nest Cam integrated into the speakers.

This means that in addition to being able to make video calls using the device, it can double up as a security camera of sorts where Google states that it will be able to detect motion and sound and alert the user to them. The website listing for the upcoming product also states that the smart display will come with a 10-inch HD screen and a set of stereo speakers, but other than that, not much is known about the device.

There is no mention of how much it could cost or when it might be released, but as its name implies, it sounds like the merging of the Nest Cam, the Google Home Hub, and the Google Home Max, which could be interesting and potentially expensive, but we’ll have to wait and find out.
