Throat cancer risk nearly doubles with hot drinks

Research dating back to at least 2009 has indicated that drinking hot beverages may increase the risk for developing esophageal cancer, though it has been unclear if this risk can be directly correlated with the temperature that something is consumed. Yet another study has been released which offers further confirmation that drinking – and presumably eating – things at a … Continue reading

Facebook has admitted to storing hundreds of millions of user passwords in plain text, and potentially accessible by its employees, for years, though the social network insists that there’s no sign that its poor security practice was taken advantage of. Even so, Facebook plans to notify every one of its users whose password was stored that way. However, Facebook will … Continue reading

Disc-Less Xbox One S Launch Expected May 7th

There have been reports recently that Microsoft has developed a disc-less edition of the Xbox One S. Players will only be able to get games online as they won’t be able to pop a disc in the console. A new report reveals that the company might be launching the “Xbox One S All-Digital Edition” on May 7th.

Documents obtained by Windows Central are accompanied by box art images that the site has recreated. Microsoft is going to call this console the Xbox One S All-Digital Edition since it won’t have a Blu-ray drive. That’s also going to make this console cheaper, allowing those who have been on the fence about the Xbox One S to purchase it at a lower price.

It’s pertinent to mention here that there hasn’t even been an acknowledgment from Microsoft that it’s developing something of this sort. So an official comment on the matter is yet to arrive. The report mentions that Microsoft will ship this console with a 1TB hard drive in addition to pre-installed digital versions of Forza Horizon 3, Minecraft, and Sea of Thieves.

Microsoft may also offer customers an option to ship the console with pre-install games so that customers can select which games they want to be pre-installed on their consoles before it arrives at their doorstep.
