Bethesda Confirms E3 Press Briefing For This Year

Some of the biggest gaming companies will be making their announcements at E3 2019 in a few months and Bethesda fans will be excited to know that the company will be on that list this year. Bethesda has confirmed that it will indeed be conducting a media briefing on June 9th as part of its E3 2019 showcase.

Team Bethesda will be heading to Los Angeles for its 5th Annual Bethesda E3 Showcase. The company says that it’s going to be “a hell of a night,” so expect some big announcements. It has revealed that there will be an in-depth look at DOOM Eternal in addition to other announcements.

Bethesda says that it’s planning to invite more of its fans to the press event this year. It will be sending out official invitations with additional event details soon. The company will also be providing information on how to register for a chance to attend the 2019 showcase.

Not everyone will obviously be able to make it to Los Angeles to attend the event in person. They don’t have to worry as the showcase is going to be streamed live on YouTube, Twitter, Twitch, Facebook, and Mixer. It begins at 5:30 pm PT on Sunday, June 9th.

This $23 Charging Hub Includes Quick Charge 3.0, Which Is More Useful For iPhones Than You May Think

This six-port USB charging hub doesn’t have USB-C like some others we’ve seen, but it does include a Quick Charge 3.0 port. Nintendo Announces Nindies Showcase For March 20th

Nintendo has made an unexpected announcement today for a new Showcase video presentation. That’s the company’s preferred format for sharing information about titles. The company has sent out a tweet confirming that it will hold a Nindies Showcase on March 20.

Indie games will be front and center in this Showcase. The company says that this new Nindies Showcase video presentation will feature “about 30 minutes of information” about the new indie games that are coming to the Nintendo Switch.

No further information has obviously been revealed at this point in time as Nintendo obviously wants fans to tune into the video presentation. It has been scheduled for 9 am PT on Wednesday, March 20th. The video presentation will be accessible at live.nintendo.com.

This announcement today was certainly unexpected but Nintendo Switch owners will be definitely interested in hearing more about these indie titles. It’s sort of a routine matter for the company as it often drops dates for Nintendo Direct streams at short notice as well.

If one can draw comparisons with earlier Showcases, perhaps we might get to see a mix of exclusive titles getting their big break on the Switch in addition to older indie games that are finally being ported over to Nintendo’s current-gen console.

Sony Patent Hints At Wireless PSVR Headset

Sony has seen considerable success with its PSVR headset. If you were wondering whether the company has any plans to make a wireless version of its popular headset, there just might be hope. A new patent has been uncovered which suggests that Sony has given some thought to making a wireless PSVR headset.

The patent was published by the Japan Patent Office over the weekend and the images therein suggest that the virtual reality headset will be able to work without having any direct cable connection to a console. It will rely on a radio wave instead to communicate between the console, breakout box, and the headset.

Many PSVR owners will be happy to hear that Sony might be considering a wireless version given that the adapters and wires can often be too much to handle. The patent drawings suggest that the wireless headset won’t be all that different from the one that’s currently in use.

An untethered headset could even convince more people to splurge on the accessory if they had previously held off because they didn’t want to deal with the mess of wires. It’s pertinent to note here that Sony filed this patent around two years ago. The company is yet to confirm the existence of a wireless PSVR but this doesn’t seem like one of those far-fetched patent discoveries that seem outside the realm of possibility.

Apple TV Gets PlayStation Vue’s Multi-Picture Mode

PlayStation Vue, Sony’s live TV streaming service, isn’t just available on the company’s gaming consoles as the name might have you believe. It’s available on a wide variety of platforms including the Apple TV. The Apple TV is now getting a feature which has been available on the PS4 app for PlayStation Vue: multi-picture mode.

Sony is rolling out the multi-picture feature for PlayStation Vue on the Apple TV starting today. It will roll out the feature to the set-top box by way of an update for the app. The multi-picture mode allowed users to have three channels running on the screen at the same time. Sony is going to improve it further for the Apple TV by supporting four channels at the same time instead of three on the PlayStation 4.

Multi-view happens to be one of the service’s most popular features on the PlayStation 4 so the company is finally bringing it to the Apple TV. Sony is also rolling out updates for the feature on PS4.

The first is real-time program changing which means that users no longer have to start from the beginning when they have to add a different program. The second update brings new filters with Sports and News getting dedicated tabs.
