Trifo reveals Ironpie smart robot vacuum

It is an inescapable fact of life where we all need to maintain the cleanliness of our homes and workspaces, otherwise time and dust will find a way to make a mess of things if left all by themselves. With many of us already having a challenging time at work, returning home would mean decompressing, and the thought of additional housework can prove to be overwhelming. Why not let the wonders of home automation help you out with the Ironpie smart robot vacuum from Trifo?

A robotic vacuum cleaner is not something that is new or groundbreaking in the market as they have been around for quite a number of years already, but it does seem as though there is still much room for improvement in this area. Trifo’s effort with the Ironpie underlines such a distinction: by introducing additional AI-enabled capabilities that go beyond cleaning while helping lower the cost of entry in order to make it more affordable to the masses.

What makes the Ironpie smart robot vacuum different from the rest of the market? For starters, it has an elevated degree of intelligence. The Ironpie will rely on proprietary TIRVS (Trifo Intelligent Robotics Vision System) that has been paired with the world’s smallest, lowest power and most efficient Armv8-A quad-core processor. This unique tag team effort delivers high performance levels alongside cost efficiency when it comes to sensing, perception, and decision.

In addition, it is able to achieve 10% more efficiency compared to competing robot vacuums by using a zig zag cleaning mode and optimized cleaning route. The Ironpie is able to identify different areas that have not been cleaned yet, repositioning itself in order to clean other areas without having to go through redundancy. Fully capable of sensing obstacles as well, the Ironpie’s multi-sensory system will help keep your fine furniture safe from knocks, while you can also use it as a camera to check out what’s going on at home via the Ironpie app. All of this for $299 apiece surely makes the Ironpie smart robot vacuum a decent gamble for the overworked homeowner who would like some respite from housework.

Apple Will Be ‘Rolling The Dice’ On Its Upcoming Products

In the past Apple has typically been seen as an innovative company, but recently their products and offerings just feel more of the same, where they don’t seem to be paying any attention to what their customers want or are saying to them. If you’re hoping that this could change in the future, think again.

During a talk to investors, Apple’s CEO Tim Cook seemed pretty upbeat about the company’s future. According to the report from Bloomberg, Cook was quoted as saying that Apple would be “rolling the dice” on future products, suggesting that the company will be taking a gamble on future products that may or may not work out.

Exactly what these products are remains to be seen, so we guess we’ll just have to wait and see. So far what we have heard is that Apple could be planning on launching a brand new 16-inch MacBook Pro later this year. There are also rumors that the new Mac Pro will feature a stackable/modular design.

Those represent some pretty major changes that we can expect from the company, but whether or not that would be classified as “rolling the dice” is unclear. The company has also taken a beating with its iPhones where due to its price tag, it has resulted in less than ideal sales figures, but hopefully these changes will improve Apple’s overall outlook.

Apple Plans To Eventually Lower The Price Of Its MacBook Air

Back in the day, Apple had pretty clear distinctions between its computers where each product was priced differently enough to appeal to different customers. For example the MacBook Air was one of Apple’s more affordable laptops, but with the launch of the 2018 model, that line got blurred even further.

According to the critics, the difference in price between Apple’s laptops got so small where it would be a better idea to pay a bit more to upgrade to the MacBook Pro. This is something that Apple is hoping to change, according to the company’s CEO Tim Cook who recently had a talk with some of the company’s investors.

According to Cook, he revealed that one of the company’s goals is to eventually lower the price of its $1,200 MacBook Air. It is unclear how much of a price drop we can expect, but hopefully we will see it go back to the earlier days where the MacBook Air represented a pretty good value for money purchase at around $1,000.

This would also not be the first time in recent times that Apple had to reconsider its pricing. The new iPhones are now priced through the roof to the point where it has affected sales and where Apple was forced to offer discounts and extend trade-in deals to encourage sales. Cook had also previously stated that the company could consider revising the prices in select markets which might be particularly weak against the US dollar.

Volvo Wants To Impose A Speed Limit On Its Cars

Cars are typically designed with safety in mind and come with all kinds of safety features, and if there is a car company known for their safety features, it would be Volvo. The company has a pretty good reputation for building sturdy cars chockful of safety features, and now it seems that Volvo wants to build on it further.

The company has recently announced that in future Volvo cars, the carmaker will be imposing a speed limit of 180kph. According to Håkan Samuelsson, president and chief executive, “Volvo is a leader in safety: we always have been and we always will be. Because of our research we know where the problem areas are when it comes to ending serious injuries and fatalities in our cars. And while a speed limitation is not a cure-all, it’s worth doing if we can even save one life.”

At the moment cars can pretty much go as fast as they can, where obeying the speed limits is entirely up to the driver. However with this new feature, cars will automatically impose those limits on its drivers, although admittedly 180kph is still pretty fast. In addition to these speed limits, Volvo will also explore how geofencing technology can be used to create smart speed control, especially in areas around hospitals or schools to help prevent accidents that might arise from driving too fast.

Halo Infinite Will Be Making An Appearance At E3 2019

If you’re a fan of the Halo franchise, then you’ll be pleased to learn that at E3 2019, the next installment in the Halo franchise will be making its grand entrance. This will come in the form of Halo Infinite which will essentially be the successor to Halo 5: Guardians that was originally launched back in 2015.

This was revealed by the head of 343 Industries Bonnie Ross who spoke on an episode of IGN’s Unfiltered show. According to Ross, she explained why the next installment of Halo took longer than before, where the developer chose to skip its more traditional three-year development cycle in favor of developing a brand new engine, Slipspace, for the upcoming game.

According to Ross, “The Halo engine is a very technical, engineering-focused engine. It’s super hard for creatives to work in. It’s super hard for a lot of creatives to work in, at one time. We did a ton of work, on Halo 4, on the engine, to get it to look… I think it looked amazing for being on the last generation on the last year of the platform.”

Ross also went on to describe Halo Infinite as being a “spiritual reboot”, but unfortunately beyond that, she remained mum on what we might be able to expect. However with the game now confirmed to make an appearance at E3 2019, we suppose we won’t have to wait much longer to find out.
