Fujifilm X-Pro3 Might Be Launched This Year

Fujifilm has several high-end mirrorless cameras, one of which is a rangefinder-style camera in the form of the X-Pro series. So far there have been two models: the X-Pro and the X-Pro2, and according to an earlier rumor by Fuji Rumors, it has been rumored that the X-Pro3 could actually be launched later this year.

Details about the camera are next to nothing at the moment, but according to the publication, they have recently received a tip from a source that claims that the X-Pro3 could actually be manufactured in Japan. For those unfamiliar, Fujifilm has taken pride at how the bulk of its cameras and lenses are made in Japan.

However, with the X-T3, the company had opted to make the camera in China which explains why it is actually cheaper than the X-T2. While we’re not knocking China’s manufacturing prowess, there are certain perceived notions of quality of products that are made in Japan, so for more diehard fans, this could potentially be good news.

The downside, we imagine, is that the price of the X-Pro3 could remain as high (if not higher)t han the X-Pro2, so be prepared to pay for it when the camera does launch. It had been previously reported that the camera could be launching very late into the year where it might end up shipping in January 2020.

The Elder Scrolls: Blades Early Access Now Live On Android

Back in 2018, Bethesda announced The Elder Scrolls: Blades. For those who missed the announcement, this is basically a mobile version of the Elder Scrolls franchise which would be playable on iOS and Android. The bad news is that instead of launching in 2018, it was delayed to 2019.

The game has yet to be launched, but as Bethesda had previously promised, early access would be coming, and sure enough it has. According to a report from Android Police, it appears that early access for the Android version of the game has gone live where players living in the US and Canada will have no issues accessing it.

We should note that this will require gamers to have an invite to begin with, so if you did not sign up for early access, you will still be able to play a short demo for the game before you’re required to sign in with your Bethesda account (to attempt to verify if you got the invite). You can still try and sign up for it and hopefully receive the next wave of invites, so head on over to Bethesda’s website if you haven’t done so already.

There is still no word on when the game will be released, so for now it looks like early access will be the only way that we will be able to play the game.

watchOS 5.2 Rolling Out With ECG Support For More Countries

A report from the other day revealed that Apple could be expanding the availability of its ECG feature of the Apple Watch Series 4 to more countries. This was to be part of the watchOS 5.2 update. It turns out the rumors were right because the update has since been released which also expanded on the ECG’s availability at the same time.

According to Apple, they have made the ECG feature available in Hong Kong as well as 19 other countries in Europe. The countries that officially support the feature include Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Guam, Hong Kong, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Romania, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, UK, US and US Virgin Islands

This is pretty big news as previously the feature was only limited to pretty much the US. This is due to medical regulations around the world being different from each other, meaning that Apple needs to make new filings for each country and region which can take a while. In fact, it was previously suggested that ECG support for the UK could actually take years, but it seems that have arrived much earlier than expected.

Apple Watch users will need to update their smartwatches to watchOS 5.2 if they want ECG support. In addition to ECG support for those regions, the update will also bring about some minor improvements such as support for the second-gen AirPods and real-time text for phone calls.

Alzheimer’s plaques found in dolphins’ brains hint at toxin risk

In a new study, researchers revealed the discovery of beta-amyloid plaques in the brains of stranded dolphins, the same plaques associated with Alzheimer’s disease in humans. The finding builds upon existing evidence of an association between toxic cyanobacterial blooms and Alzheimer’s risk, though there’s still not enough evidence to determine whether this toxin puts humans at risk. Past research identified … Continue reading
