As many of you might be already aware, Huawei s facing huge disruptions to its business after the US government blacklisted them from doing business with US companies. This is not only a huge deal for Huawei, but also for Huawei customers who could potentially be left with an obsolete device a lot earlier than they would like.
This would also mean that many of them would need to start seeking out alternatives, at least if they don’t want to sit around and wait and see how this plays out. Understanding the plight of Huawei customers, a Chinese restaurant over in Malaysia has announced an offer for its customers, where they can show that they are using a Huawei phone, they will get 20% off their total bill.
According to one of the restaurant’s owners, Angie Taweepan Chantowatha, she felt that what was done to Huawei was unfair. “We feel it’s not fair on consumers because consumers should always have a choice.” Whether or not this promotion is done to help ease the burden of Huawei’s customers or simply as a means to promote the restaurant is unclear, but either way, if you are from Malaysia and live in Kuala Lumpur, you might want to check out Sean & Angie’s next Monday to enjoy a 20% discount off your food bill.

Are you a fan of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic series of video games? If you are, you might be excited to learn that according to a report from BuzzFeed News, they have learnt from separate sources that a movie based around the video games is reportedly in development and is being written by written by Laeta Kalogridis, the writer behind Avatar and Shutter Island.
The idea of a movie based around Knights of the Old Republic isn’t exactly new. Last month, Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy told MTV News that they are looking into it, although nothing was set in stone just yet. “Yes, we are developing something to look at. Right now, I have no idea where things might fall.”
The report goes on to add that there is a chance that these movies could end up being a trilogy, which is actually a bit ironic considering that we heard that Knights of the Old Republic 3 might actually be a long time coming. That being said, it is unclear who will be directing this rumored trilogy. Last we heard, the Game of Thrones showrunners have been tasked with the next trilogy of Star Wars movies, so perhaps it could be them.
As to when it might be released, we will have to wait quite a bit. Disney’s schedule of movies revealed that the next Star Wars movie following Episode 9 this year will only be in 2022.

Earlier this week, it was reported that SpaceX would be attempting to launch 60 of its Starlink satellites into space this Thursday. This was on the heels of a couple of delays and cancellations due to the weather and last minute checks, but it seems that it has all gone to plan because not only did the Falcon-9 rocket achieve a successful lift-off, but they also successfully deployed the satellites.
This was shared by the SpaceX Twitter account online, and also SpaceX’s CEO Elon Musk who announced that all 60 of its satellites had gone online. For those who are learning about Starlink for the first time, this is an effort by Musk and SpaceX to bring internet to all parts of the world. We had previously seen how companies such as Facebook had explored the idea of using drones, while Google had attempted to do the same but using hot air balloons.
However, with Starlink, what Musk had envision is as many as 12,000 satellites covering our planet in which it would be able to beam internet to all corners of the Earth. The satellites are also expected to rely on solar power to keep itself operational. They are also said to be made from material that would burn up rapidly upon re-entry in our atmosphere, thus reducing the number of debris that would crash into earth when these satellites are decommissioned.

It will probably be a while before actual internet services can be offered through Starlink, but at least the ball has started rolling.
