You Can Now Play Super Smash Bros. Ultimate With Nintendo Labo VR

Ahead of the Nintendo Switch reveal from back in 2017, it was reported that Nintendo was looking into ways to integrate VR to the console. It was later proven to be true when a couple of months ago, Nintendo launched the Labo VR kit which kind of brought VR to the Switch console system.

Since then, we’ve seen how Nintendo has updated some of its games to support it, such as The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Super Mario Odyssey. Now, if you thought that maybe a fighting game would be cool in VR, you’ll be pleased to learn that Nintendo has since announced that Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will also be supported in the Labo VR.

This means that players who want to experience the game in a more immersive environment will be able to as long as they have the Labo VR kit and the game. According to Nintendo, the support for Labo VR will be applicable to limited, timed, and offline battles, so not all of the game’s modes will be supported. Notably absent is multiplayer, but presumably this is because Nintendo wants to keep the experience consistent for everyone else.

The update should already be live, so if you own Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and the Labo VR kit, then perhaps this could be worth checking out, but if you don’t, the Labo VR kit is available from Nintendo for $80.

Death Stranding Collector’s Edition Will Come With A Life-Sized Baby In A Pod

Hideo Kojima’s Death Stranding has been teased for years without anyone knowing when it might launch. Some had even speculated that it might be saved for the PS5, but just the other day, it was confirmed that Death Stranding will be released for the PS4 this coming November, which we can only assume is good news for those who were waiting for it.

Now, as expected from most games these days, Death Stranding will be offered in several different editions. One of those editions is the Collector’s Edition which will be the ultimate collection for those who want everything. This includes in-game items, bonus content, and the special edition steelbook.

In addition to those goodies which are also available on some of the other editions, the Collector’s Edition will also come with a BRIDGES Cargo Case, a Ludens Keychain, and somewhat disturbingly, a life-size BB Pod Statue, which is basically a baby inside of a pod. It is kind of creepy but if you love collecting these kinds of things, then it might be right up your alley.

The Collector’s Edition is currently priced at $200 which is by no means cheap, but considering all the bonus items, maybe some could justify it. The game is currently set for a release on the 8th of November, 2019.

Standalone Music And TV Apps For macOS Revealed In Leaked Screenshots

iTunes has been around for the longest time ever and has been Apple’s one-stop shop for the majority of its products and services. For example, it can be used to purchase music, books, movies, TV shows, apps, cloud storage, and it is also used to help sync up iOS devices. As such, the software has become extremely bloated.

This is why it didn’t come as a surprise to learn that in a report from last month that Apple might want to break iTunes up into more manageable apps. Now in a report from Guilherme Rambo of 9to5Mac, he has managed to get his hands on what appears to screenshots that shows the upcoming standalone Music and TV apps for macOS.

Both apps are similar in terms of design but use different color schemes. They are both rather bare bones at the moment but we imagine that we should have a better idea of how they will work next month during WWDC. Apple will most likely be announcing updates to iOS and macOS, and presumably, these new standalone apps will be part of Apple’s announcement.

If you’re not a fan of the current iteration of iTunes and believe that it could stand to be improved upon, then perhaps these changes are worth looking forward to. We’ll keep our eyes peeled for more info, but check back with us next week for all the official details.

Microsoft Excel On iPhone Can Add Data From Photos Into A Spreadsheet

A couple of months ago, Microsoft announced a new feature that would be coming to its Office apps on mobile, where through the use of AI, it would be able to capture an image, extract the data from that image, and put it into a spreadsheet. For example, if you had a printed list of phone numbers and names, taking the photo would let you tabulate that into Excel.

Of course, having access to the original file is ideal, but that isn’t always the case. The good news is that if this is a feature that you’re interested in, Microsoft has since announced that it is now rolling out to iOS users, so if you use Office on your iPhone or iPad, then you should be able to take advantage of this new feature.

According to Microsoft, “With this feature, you can easily grab any data in a table format—financial spreadsheets, work schedules, task lists, timetables, and so on—and convert it to a digital format in Excel, so you can arrange and analyze that information quickly and in context to make better decisions on the fly.”

If you have yet to download Excel or update your version of Excel on your iOS device, then head on over to the iTunes App Store to get your hands on it.

IKEA Recreates The Living Rooms From Your Favorite TV Shows

There are some shows in which certain aspects of the show, like its furnishings, have become equally iconic. As a furniture maker, IKEA seems to be aware of this and has since compiled some of its furniture offerings and put them together to recreate the iconic living rooms found in several popular TV series.

This includes The Simpsons, Stranger Things, and Friends, where if you’re so inclined, you’ll actually be able to shop for these pieces of furniture via IKEA’s website. Granted, they might not necessarily be 100% replicas of what you see on TV, but we have to admit that they do come pretty damn close.

According to IKEA, “We brought to life the iconic living rooms of the most beloved families of all times, through tons of furniture combinations in lots of different styles and sizes – and at affordable prices. We’ve grouped all the products for each room for you, so it’s easy to recreate what you see here in your own home. Take a look and make your living room iconic with IKEA.”

Of course, you would also need to match the walls and floors if you truly want to recreate these living rooms, but if you ever needed some inspiration, or maybe you’re thinking of where certain pieces of furniture should go, perhaps these might give you some ideas. In the meantime, IKEA has also announced that they will soon be allowing their customers to shop directly from their mobile devices.
