Amazon Echo Show 5 Preorders Kick Off, Shipping Soon

Amazon has unveiled the latest addition to the Echo Show line with the Echo Show 5. This is a 5.5-inch device with Amazon Alexa voice assistant tech.

The device has all the features of the larger Echo Show device, including the ability to play music with a powerful internal speaker. It will stream all sort of shows to its screen from Amazon Prime and other sources, and play music from several streaming services. An ambient light sensor will keep the screen just right in brightness, so it doesn’t light up a dark room. It also has new clock faces to wake up to in the mornings.

And if you’re concerned about privacy, it has a special mic and camera off button to electronically disconnect them, as well as a mechanical shutter that can be closed over the camera lens.

You can preorder the Echo Show 5 from Amazon for just $89.99, and shipping is expected to kick off on June 26.
