Twitter Will Add More Context To ‘This Tweet Is Unavailable’

We’re sure that we’ve all come across a Twitter page for a particular tweet, only to be greeted by the message that says, “This tweet is unavailable”. Now, there are many reasons why a tweet could be unavailable. For example, the person who tweeted it decided to delete it, or it could have been removed by Twitter for violating its Terms of Service.

Unfortunately, we don’t know for sure why a tweet has been removed unless that person tells us, but it seems that Twitter is hoping to give users more context. According to the company, “We’re fixing the issue where you see so many “This Tweet is unavailable” notices in conversations. This is usually due to deleted or protected Tweets, or muted keywords. In a few weeks, you’ll start seeing more context on each notice to help explain why Tweets are unavailable.”

Twitter has been making some changes as of late where they are changing how tweets are displayed. For example, recently the company rolled out some changes where if a public figure using Twitter were to publish tweets that violates the company’s ToS, Twitter will display a message showing that the tweet has been hidden due to a violation, although users will still have the option to view it if they want to, but ultimately it is designed to reduce its reach.

Dragons Will Be Added To Harry Potter: Wizards Unite Next Month

If you’re a fan of Harry Potter, there’s a good chance that you’ve probably heard about Harry Potter: Wizards Unite. This is a new augmented reality game by Niantic, the same company that brought us Pokemon GO. Now, the game has been out for a little while now, but if you’re wondering what’s missing, could it be dragons?

For those who watched and read the Harry Potter movies and books, you’re probably familiar with the fact that dragons do exist in the Harry Potter universe, and now it looks like dragons will be coming to the game. This is according to a tweet sent out by the official Harry Potter: Wizards Unite account.

This announcement was also made at the San Diego Comic-Con. “From the Welsh Green to the Antipodean Opaleye, these regional Oddities will be making their landfall debut in the game at Harry Potter: Wizards Unite Fan Festival in Indianapolis this Aug. 31 – Sept. 1. Fans will want to take advantage of this unique opportunity as after the event, the different dragon varieties will only appear in specific regions around the world.”

If you’re a fan of the game and are looking forward to dragons, then do mark down the dates on your calendar and keep an eye out for it.

These Crazy Diamond-Encrusted AirPods Is Peak Opulence

One of the reasons why the AirPods is such a hot-selling item is because it seems to have found a nice balance between being affordable and also functional. While it’s not the cheapest, its features have made it worth their weight. However, it seems that Los Angeles designer Ian Delucca has a pair of AirPods that look out of this world.

This is because Delucca has encrusted Apple’s AirPods with diamonds, where it has brought the total cost of the AirPods up to a whopping $20,000. We’re not sure who would buy a pair of these AirPods, especially when you consider the fact that these devices have a shelf life, thanks to its battery in which many first-gen AirPod adopters were finding out that its battery started going down pretty fast after a year.

Plus, with there being rumors of a water-resistant set of AirPods arriving later this year, who would want to buy them? Then again, we guess if you can afford to drop $20,000 on a pair of diamond-encrusted AirPods, feature and functionality might not necessarily be high on your list of priorities.

This isn’t the first time we’ve seen Apple products being blinged out. The company’s smartphones and computers are notorious for being expensive, and this probably doesn’t do much to shed that image.

Analysts Predict Apple Will Launch SiriOS At WWDC 2020

Apple was the first to the market to launch a digital assistant for our smartphones. However, the feature did not exactly work as advertised at launch, and the fact that it was closed off to developers meant that Siri was extremely limited in its use. This led to competitors such as Amazon and Google to pull ahead of Apple in the digital assistant market.

However, according to analysts at the Mangrove investment firm, they are predicting that Apple could launch what they are calling “SiriOS” at WWDC 2020. Now, Siri is obviously not an operating system, but SiriOS is expected to be targeted at developers in which the goal is to help accelerate the innovation and adoption of Siri.

The investment firm seems to be particularly optimistic about Apple’s future with Siri, where they are claiming that SiriOS will be worth $1 trillion by 2025. It does seem like a rather outlandish claim so take it with a grain of salt. Digital assistants are becoming increasingly common these days where every company is looking to launch their own take on it.

There is Amazon, Google, Microsoft, and even Samsung got in on it with Bixby. Will this rumored SiriOS change things for Apple and how users and developers view and use Siri? We suppose we’ll have to wait and see.

Google Assistant may soon let you send texts from the lock screen

Google Assistant has admittedly grown up to be one of the biggest examples of the practical use of AI and machine learning technologies today. It lets users accomplish a lot of things on their phones or in their homes without even lifting a finger, literally. It is almost ironic then that the one thing it can’t do without unlocking your … Continue reading

What Technology Is Most Likely to Become Obsolete During Your Lifetime?

Certain Boomer basements are little shrines to obsolescence, untidy stockrooms of the one-time cutting-edge: VCRs, corded telephones, immense beige PC monitors, etc. Way fewer Millennials will have basements to store trash in (‘home ownership’ itself quickly verging on obsolete), but presumably, once climate change…
