In less than a month, Samsung will take the veils off its third flagship of the year, with the Galaxy Fold taking the place of second. By now, however, almost everything about it has been unofficially revealed by rumors and leaks. Of course, those are all unofficial, no matter how credible the source may be. It’s still unofficial but leaksters … Continue reading

Posted in: Today's ChiliFor a while now, we have heard rumors that Apple could be working on a pair of augmented reality (AR) glasses. The glasses were originally set for a launch in 2020, or so the rumors were saying, but now it seems that there is a chance we might never see them anymore. This is because apparently, Apple has stopped development on them.
According to a report from DigiTimes, it claims that Apple has temporarily halted the development of its smart glasses. The team that was working on them is said to have been disbanded back in May and have been reassigned to work on other Apple products. It is unclear why the company halted the development of the device, but if it is a temporary thing, it could pick up again later.
It is possible that Apple might have had a hard time trying to create a product and position it in the market. After all, they wouldn’t be the first company to try. Previously, Google had attempted something similar with Google Glass, which was amazing in concept, but it was kind of a flop in reality, leading to Google ultimately canceling their plans for it.
Perhaps Apple had hit upon similar feasibility issues during the course of its development, or perhaps the tech they need to make it work simply isn’t available yet, but either way, it seems that we probably won’t be seeing these glasses arrive anytime soon.

Huawei To Debut EMUI 10 In August
Posted in: Today's ChiliNow that Huawei is (sort of) allowed to do business with US companies again, this means that in terms of smartphone operating systems, the company should be allowed to use Google Play services moving forwards. However, there is also the question of its own operating system, and what this change means for it.
Could Huawei ditch its development in favor of Android? Or could they be developing both side-by-side? That remains to be seen, but for those who aren’t looking forward to a forked version of Android, you might be relieved to learn that Huawei apparently has plans to show off EMUI 10 at a developer conference held this August.
For those who don’t use a Huawei phone, EMUI is basically its own themed version of Android that comes bundled with its phones. EMUI 10 is expected to be based on Android Q, which means that for at least one more Android update, Huawei will still continue to use Google’s version of Android.
The company did previously promise that its existing handsets will be updated to Android Q, so there is a good chance that this preview of EMUI 10 will be for those phones, but whether or not it will also be applicable to future Huawei phones is a different story that we’ll just have to wait and see.

Last year OnePlus had confirmed that they are working on a smart TV. Not much is known about the TV, but according to a report from MySmartPrice, they have found out that the upcoming OnePlus smart TV is expected to come with its own Bluetooth remote controller, at least according to a sighting on the Bluetooth SIG website.
It shouldn’t really come as a surprise that the OnePlus TV will come with a remote controller, but the fact that it has Bluetooth compatibility is interesting as we imagine that it could have other uses besides using it with the TV. Maybe its Bluetooth connectivity could also be used to connect to other devices, like our phones, tablets, or even our computers.
In terms of the actual TV, if you were hoping for an OLED TV you might be disappointed. Tipster Ishan Agarwal had previously hinted that the device could use LCD instead of OLED, but the upside to that is that it could be potentially cheaper. OnePlus is known for creating relatively affordable smartphones, so hopefully that practice will extend to its TV as well.
There is still no set date on when the OnePlus smart TV will make its debut, but we have heard that it could be soon, so check back with us at a later date for more updates.

Samsung Could Unveil New In-Ear Noise-Cancelling Headphones Alongside The Note 10
Posted in: Today's ChiliSamsung is no stranger to audio products as in the past, we have seen the company launch a variety of headphones and speakers. However, it seems that the company could have a new pair of headphones in the works that could be debuting alongside the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 10.
This is according to a report from WinFuture.de’s Roland Quandt in which he claims that the company will be unveiling a pair of in-ear headphones with noise-cancelling features. These are active noise-cancelling features which means that it will block out more noise compared to passive noise-cancelling.
Not much else is known about these headphones, like whether or not they’ll be wireless, or if they’ll have a cable connecting them, or if they’ll end up being “true” wireless earbuds like we saw the company launch in the past. Samsung has had some success with its Galaxy Buds, so hopefully these rumored headphones will continue that success.
