OnePlus Promises To Fix OnePlus 7 Pro Shutdown Bug

All new smartphones tend to go through a period in which they experience some bugs and kinks that are usually ironed out in future patches. This is why it did not come as a surprise to learn that OnePlus 7 Pro owners were running into issues with the handset, although in this case, this issue seems to be pretty severe.

For those who are unfamiliar, apparently it seems that some OnePlus 7 Pro owners are experiencing instances when their smartphones are shutting down seemingly at random. Following the shutdown, the only way to reboot the phone is by manually rebooting into fastboot.

Thankfully, OnePlus seems to be aware of the problem and are already working on a fix. In a statement made to Android Police, a OnePlus representative said, “we are aware of this issue, and we will be issuing an update to address it.” There is no word on when the patch will be released, but the good news is that it doesn’t seem to be particularly widespread, so not all OnePlus 7 Pro owners are affected.

We’ll be keeping our eyes peeled for more information regarding the update, but in the meantime, if you do run into this problem, fastboot will offer up a temporary fix until the patch has been released.
