If Deadpool Was an Ice Cream Cone
Posted in: Today's ChiliWe’ve seen Deadpool take all sorts of forms, from a dog to a kid to a duck. But I can say with 100% certainty that this is the first time I’ve come across Deadpool in ice cream form.
This awesomely silly collectible is part of Unruly Industries‘ “One Scoops,” a series of limited-edition vinyl toys that envision comic book characters as ice cream cones.
Designer Erik Scoggan nailed the look with this figure, which looks like a melty merc with a mouth as his iconic black and red mask drips onto the cone below. It’s like somebody left their Funko POP figure out in the sun for too long. The figure measures 6.5″ tall and comes with a stand that looks like Deadpool’s gloved hand.

The Boeing 737 Max quickly became a commercial success for the company as airlines across the globe placed thousands of orders for the revamped narrow-body jet. However, two fatal crashes merely five months apart led to the grounding of the aircraft as it became evident that there were issues which needed sorting. The Department of Justice has been conducting a probe into the Boeing 737 Max and according to a new report, that has now been expanded to the Boeing 787 Dreamliner.
The Boeing 787 Dreamliner has been another commercial success for the company with airlines favoring its fuel efficiency and performance. However, the Department of Justice now wants to see if Boeing cut corners during the production of this aircraft as well.
The Seattle Times has reported that the Justice Department has subpoenaed Boeing for production records of the Dreamliner amid allegations of “shoddy work” and corner-cutting during Dreamliner production in South Carolina. The subpoenas have reportedly come from the same DOJ prosecutors who are involved in the 737 Max criminal investigation.
A source told the scribe that the Department of Justice is looking into “broad cultural problems” at the company, one of the world’s largest airplane manufacturers. Boeing hasn’t commented on the report so far and there’s no confirmation from the DOJ as well whether it really has subpoenaed records of the Dreamliner.

The United Arab Emirates has a knack for building the biggest and largest of everything. It’s home to the tallest building in the world and the world’s largest mall. Abu Dhabi, the oil-rich emirate, is now also host to a project that’s actually meant to reduce its reliance on oil for power generation. It has launched the world’s largest individual solar power project.
Noor Abu Dhabi, the solar power plant, is now being run by the Emirate Water and Electricity Company. It happens to be the largest individual solar power project in the world. It has a peak capacity of 1.18 gigawatts, almost double the 569MW capacity of Solar Star, the biggest solar power facility in the United States.
The company mentions that the 3.2 million solar panels in Noor Abu Dhabi will produce enough energy to cater to 90,000 people. It’s also going to reduce CO2 emissions by 1 million metric tonnes. The emirate points out that this is the equivalent of taking 200,000 cars off the road.
The United Arab Emirates won’t be reducing its reliance on oil anytime soon. It’s still one of the key suppliers globally but this project is a step in the right direction, nonetheless, as the world needs to step up its use of renewable energy sources in order to reduce the need to burn fossil fuels for electricity.
