Lenovo New Chromebooks Come in Tiny and Large Sizes

At IFA 2019, Lenovo will present two new Chromebook computers that serve the 11-inch and 14-inch market. Both have 360-degree display swivel, a signature Lenovo feature that has been adopted by the rest of the industry.

The Lenovo C340-11 has an 11-inch C340-11 model that can be easily lugged around in a small bag (it weighs 2.6lbs) for flights, meetings and casual computing such as simple games, etc. It’s a great mobile companion, possibly a tablet replacement, that offers an impressive quality for the price. You won’t have to worry about ports because even this small laptop has four USB ports!

Interestingly, there’s also a 15-inch variant of the Lenovo C340, which makes it a perfect home desktop replacement PC: that’s the most popular use case for 15-inch laptops. It should appeal to people who are primarily using the computer for web applications, but since you can also run Android apps, the possibilities are limitless.

Because of its size, and usage model, the Lenovo C340-15 features a more powerful Intel Core processor, instead of the Celeron that would typically come with the C340-11. Interestingly, the C340-11 can get up to 8GB of RAM, but the 15-inch only gets a maximum of 4GB.

Chromebooks are amazing when it comes to having your whole configuration and settings on the cloud. It makes switching to a new computer so easy. If a Chromebook is ever lost or stolen, it can just be replaced by a new one.

The C340-11 ($289) is available in September, but the 15-inch version ($429) starts shipping in October.

There’s more: at IFA, Lenovo will also unveil the 14-inch Chromebook S340 which is exceptionally affordable, with a start price of $249.99 (also available in September). The S340’s clean and minimalist design (including narrow-bezels) comes in two soft colors: Dark Orchid or Onyx Black.
