In the early days of the wearable, they weren’t particularly attractive in terms of design. They were functional, but not necessarily aesthetically pleasing. However, Motorola came onto the scene with the Moto 360, which at that time was probably the best-looking smartwatch we had seen.
It has been a while since the company has updated the smartwatch, and it looks like they’re back, sort of. However, instead of Motorola making the new Moto 360, they have handed the reins over to a company by the name of eBuyNow. This will be a similar situation like Nokia and HMD, or BlackBerry and TCL, where the company is making the new smartwatch on Motorola’s behalf through licensing/partnership.
In terms of specs, the new Moto 360 will be sporting the use of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Wear 3100 and will come 8GB of storage and 1GB of RAM. There will also be an always-on display and fast charging where apparently it will be capable of juicing up from zero to full in about an hour. Speaking of battery life, the watch also features a battery-saving mode that can keep the time displayed for three days.
The new Moto 360 will be available this December where it will be priced at $350, with pre-orders expected to kick off this November.
