A Machine That Cooks The Perfect Instant Noodles Is Peak 2019

Cooking instant noodles should be more or less a no brainer by now, and students around the world are probably very familiar with the overall cooking method. This involves pouring hot water, place the lid back to let it steam, and you’re good to go! However, the good folks at Thanko have decided that maybe now that we’re in 2019, perhaps it’s time to get a bit more hi-tech with instant noodles cooking.

The company has since debuted a new gadget called the Makase-Tei where it aims to help simplify the already simple process. All users need to do is pour water into the tank of the machine. They tend take the lid off their cup noodles, place it under the machine, and once the water has been boiled, it will automatically dispense it into the cup and cook your noodles.

Due to the way it has been designed, it will also cover your noodles to allow the steam from the hot water to cook and soften the noodles, meaning that you won’t have to fumble around with the flimsy covers that typically accompany such noodles. It will also work with a variety of cup noodles where it will fit cup sizes ranging from 6cm to 13cm in height.

It also has a capacity of 600ml, which means that it should be good enough to cook two servings. We’re not sure how many of you would need such a device, but if you’re interested, it is being sold on Thanko’s website for 5,980 yen.

Valve’s Steam Controller Can Now Be Yours For $5

With the launch of Valve’s Steam Box, Valve also took the wraps off the Steam Controller. This is a unique piece of technology where it allowed gamers to play all manner of PC games using the controller, where its design makes it different from regular gamepads. However, Valve ultimately decided to end the production of said Steam Controller.

The good news is that if you have been meaning to get your hands on it, Valve appears to be trying to clear the last of its inventory where the Steam Controller is now priced at $5. We should note that this is the last ever run which means that once the stock is out, Valve will not be replenishing it which means that you’ll never be able to get your hands on another one.

There are plenty still being sold elsewhere but there is a very, very good chance that they will not be sold at $5, neither will they be in the same pristine condition that Valve is selling them at right now. It is a bit of a pity to see the controller go, given its unique nature and design, but if you love collecting bits of tech history or if you’re just after another controller, now is a good time as any to do so, and you’ll want to move quickly too.

LEGO Trolls Tesla’s Cybertruck With Its Own Shatterproof ‘Truck’

Last week, Tesla took the wraps off the Cybertruck, it’s new electric vehicle that featured a reinforced body and supposedly shatterproof windows. Unfortunately, during the demonstration, its windows actually broke which was rather embarrassing for the company, but also slightly hilarious.

Now it looks like the folks at LEGO have taken the opportunity to join in on the joke by posting a photo of its own “truck” which according to the caption, “The evolution of the truck is here. Guaranteed shatterproof.” As you can see in the video above, it’s basically a LEGO brick on wheels.

However, given the numerous jokes and memes about how stepping on LEGO pieces is a new kind of hell, we get what LEGO is getting at here. It is a pretty hilarious meme and we have to wonder if Tesla’s CEO Elon Musk might be interested in challenging LEGO’s own “shatterproof” truck in a tug-of-war, although we think that we know who might win!

Jokes aside, Tesla’s Cybertruck has managed to garner a fair amount of interest with its futuristic design. According to Musk, he claims that the company has since received more than 140,000 orders for the truck which is only expected to roll off the production lines in 2021/2022.

Twitter To Begin Purging Inactive Accounts In December

In this day and age, it is not uncommon to find out that someone has a Twitter account. However, if you don’t, we get it, not everyone feels the need to constantly share what’s going on in their life and in their heads all the time, but here’s the thing, if you do have a Twitter account and have not logged in for a while, you might want to do so.

This is because Twitter has announced that they will begin cleaning up and purging inactive accounts. According to Twitter’s definition, an inactive account is one that has not been logged into in the past 6 months, so if you haven’t and still want to keep your account and username active, you should do so by the 11th of December.

Failure to do so will result in your account being deleted and your username being put back into the pool of available usernames to choose from. According to Twitter, “We encourage people to actively log in and use Twitter when they register an account. To keep your account active, be sure to log in and Tweet at least every 6 months. Accounts may be permanently removed due to prolonged inactivity.”

The upside to this purge is that if you’ve been meaning to change your username, there is a slight chance that following this purge, you might be able to finally get the username of your dreams.

Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker Was Almost Ruined When Its Script Ended Up On eBay

Movie scripts are precious because it essentially tells the whole story of the movie. As such, movie studios are very protective of these scripts where in some cases, certain actors are only given parts of the script that are related to them. This helps to prevent leaks and also spoilers as the actor in question won’t know too much about what’s going on.

However, it seems that the story of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker was almost ruined when the full script for the movie made its way onto eBay for sale. This is according to an interview that the movie’s director JJ Abrams did with Good Morning America where he revealed that one of the actors of the movie left the script in their hotel room and was found by someone cleaning the place.

The script later made its way onto eBay where it was put up for sale, but according to Abrams, someone at the company noticed that this was a legit Star Wars script and they managed to get it back quickly without any issue, as evidenced given that there have not been any spoilers related to the movie to date.

We’re not sure if they would be forced to rewrite the story and reshoot the movie had the script been purchased by someone else, but we imagine that it would have been rather disastrous. Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is currently set for a release on the 20th of December.
