Yoganotch Uses AI To Help You Improve Your Yoga Practice

Like with a lot of exercise, there’s no point in doing it unless you’re doing it properly. This is because sometimes using the wrong form can actually lead to injury which in turn could make things worse or not as effective. However, since not all of us can afford to pay for classes and personal trainers, this can be a bit tricky.

If you’re a practitioner of yoga and would like to practice at home but would also love to have some guidance, you might be interested in checking out Yoganotch. This is a sensor that can be worn on your clothes which through the use AI, will be capable of teaching users and provide them with personalized guidance on their technique.

The fact that it is a relatively small piece of tech and can be worn with just about any form of clothing means that you won’t need specialized equipment or sportswear. It also means that you’ll be able to bring it with you while on the go to anywhere, even when you’re on holidays and would like to get in a couple of practice sessions.

The company is expected to show more of the tech at CES 2020, which we will be in attendance, so do check back with us then for more details.

Outsight Raises its First Seed Round of $20M

When we drive, we use our eyes to see what’s around us and that lets us know when to brake, when to move forwards, when to turn, and so on. However, since computers don’t have “eyes”, at least not in the traditional sense, they need to use cameras, but even then, cameras need to be taught to know what they’re looking at.

Now it looks like the self-driving car industry could soon get a boost in its development as French company, Outsight, have recently announced that they have managed to raise a whopping $20 million in funding to develop a commercial version of its 3D camera that could be used to power self-driving cars.

The company claims that its cameras have the ability to detect objects and also gives them context based on their broader surroundings, meaning that not only does it know what the object is, but it also knows what it is in relation to what’s around it. Outsight had officially launched in April earlier this year and demonstrated its camera tech in August, but with the funding, the company now expects that their cameras could be ready to be deployed in the early part of 2020.

According to Cedric Hutchings, CEO and co-founder of Outsight, “By combining contrarian software and hardware approaches from day one, we bring Situation Awareness to new levels of performance and integration, and thus accelerating the deployment of this critical capability for any AI that interacts with the real world.”

Apple’s AirPods Are Expected To Bring In $4 Billion In Quarterly Revenue

Apple’s AirPods were initially mocked when they were first launched. This was largely due to their design and price, but yet despite the initial mocking, they quickly went on to become incredibly popular. How popular, you ask? According to a recent research note by Asymco, it could be on its way to overtake iPod sales during its peak.

The report claims that based on the current trends and popularity of the device, AirPods could soon account for $4 billion in quarterly revenue, which was how much the iPod brought in for Apple during its peak back in 2007. Assuming this is true, then this is a huge coup for Apple, although it doesn’t really come as a surprise.

It was recently reported that Apple could have sold as many as 3 million units over the Thanksgiving weekend, presumably spurred on by Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales. We had also heard back in November that the company was also looking to double the production of its AirPods Pro.

There have also been recent rumors suggesting that Apple could actually be considering bundling AirPods with its future iPhones, although we imagine that it will probably take a huge chunk of revenue away from the company.
