It may look dated and seem a bit overpriced but few smartwatches can make the same life-saving claims that the Apple Watch has. Apple has turned its wearable into more than just a smartphone extension and has outfitted it with features that put the wearer’s health at the center. Now one of those features is at the center of litigation … Continue reading

It’s not every day that leaks and rumors are corroborated by companies themselves but every so often we are able to get some indirect confirmation thanks to the early appearance of official documentation online. That actually happens quite frequently when it comes to Samsung’s smartphones whose manuals sometimes go up even before the device does. Such is now the case … Continue reading

If you’ve spent thousands of dollars on camera lenses, you might want to take better care of it. This comes in the form of keeping it in a dry box where it prevents the lens and the elements from getting overly humid, which in turn can cause fungus to grow and could ruin the glass of your lenses.
However, if you’d like to take your lens care to the next level, you might be interested in checking out this camera lens accessory created by a company called UN. As you can see in the image above, this lens cap is actually both a thermometer and humidity meter built into one, where it will show you the temperature and humidity levels of your lens.
This means that you’ll be able to check the temperature and humidity levels of each of your lenses, so you know if it isn’t too humid or too hot or too cold. If you don’t have a dry box, then this could possibly be the next best thing. Dry boxes can be a bit expensive but this particular accessory will only cost around $18.
This will make it a cheaper option for you if you only have one or two lenses or if you don’t want to invest in a proper dry box. While it won’t protect your lenses the same way as a dry box, it at least lets you keep an eye on your lenses. It is also not powered by batteries so you don’t need to worry about it suddenly stop working.

Just like most product releases, when Intel releases CPUs, there are a variety of options for customers to choose from, ranging from the low-end to the high-end, depending on their needs and their budget. As expected, going low-end usually means that you will need to “sacrifice” certain features in favor of a cheaper price.
However, the good news is that with Intel’s 10th gen CPU, it seems that the company could introduce hyperthreading across its entire lineup. This rumor comes from a couple of sources from Informatica Cero and VideoCardz, where Intel’s upcoming Comet Lake-S desktop CPUs, Hyperthreading will be a feature available across the entire lineup.
This includes the base i3 models and up to the i9 CPUs, so if you wanted to build a budget PC that can also perform multitasking well, then this could be worth looking forward to. Typically, better multitasking tends to be limited to Intel’s higher-end CPUs like the i7 and above, but since not everyone has the need for such a powerful CPU, sometimes they might opt for the i3 or i5 at the expense of certain features.
There is still no word on when these CPUs will be announced, but we imagine that the announcement should not be too far off. Maybe we might hear more at CES 2020, so stay tuned and check back with us next week for more updates.

Smart home devices are fantastic inventions. They let us remotely control our lights, doors, home appliances, and more. It can also be automated which could also potentially be great for energy savings. However, the problem with smart home devices is that because they’re connected to the internet, it means that they are also susceptible to hacks.
Unfortunately for Amazon, it seems that the company is facing a lawsuit over its Ring cameras where according to Alabama resident, John Orange, it seems that these devices are susceptible to hacks and Amazon’s failure to do enough to make sure their devices are secure is what led to the lawsuit.
According to Orange, he claims that his Ring outdoor camera was hacked where a stranger managed to access the speakers on the camera and spoke to his kids through it. Ring had previously responded to Orange’s complaints, claiming that there was no evidence that its infrastructure had been compromised.
They also suggested that it could also be that some users reused logins that might have been breached in the past, which Orange felt was unacceptable as they were essentially blaming customers. The lawsuit accuses the company of being in breach of contract, invasion of privacy, negligence, unjust enrichment, and violating California’s Unfair Competition Law. The company has declined to comment on the lawsuit.
