Expect the introduction of blue passports, a new 50p Brexit coin and the end of hearing about lengthy EU summits.

The law is a funny thing where depending on how contracts and legal documents are written, you can skirt around it by finding loopholes. Blizzard found out the hard way when the Defense of the Ancient custom game built using the Warcraft 3 campaign creator, ended up in the hands of Valve who ended up creating Dota 2.
Blizzard then later had to come up with its own game, Heroes of the Storm, which unfortunately did not quite take off the way the company had hoped. Fast forward to today, Blizzard is learning from their lessons and it seems that in an update to the company’s Acceptable Use Policy, it looks like Blizzard essentially owns all future player-made custom games that were created through its games.
Basically what this means is that while developers are more than welcome to keep creating custom games through the campaign editor, Blizzard more or less “owns” it, which in turn prevents other developers from creating similar standalone games that would be a derivative of it, such as using the same name, art, or characters that would have otherwise belonged to Blizzard.
That being said, Blizzard understands that developers need to make a living, and while they don’t allow developers to engage in direct commercial exploitation of their creations, they will allow them to accept donations that would basically allow them to recoup their time and resources involved in creating these games.

While there are security dongles that allow users to generate one-time passcodes used in two-factor authentication, a more commonly-used method involves SMS. This is because not everyone might have a dongle, while there is a greater chance that the user might have their phone on them.
However, the way OTP is handled varies from sender to sender, and it seems that Apple wants to standardize it moving forwards. In a proposal from Apple engineers working on WebKit, they have suggested that perhaps in the future, OTP SMS could be associated with a URL that could be included in the text message itself.
Secondly, by creating a standardized format, it would allow mobile apps to detect incoming SMS and recognize the URL, and in turn extract the OTP code from the SMS without users having to do anything on their end. This would create a much faster and efficient login process. It would also have the potential to help users avoid falling for scams by entering their OTP into a phishing website.
As it stands, iOS already has a feature that can extract OTPs from SMS and give users the option of auto-filling it in forms. However, depending on the format of the SMS, it doesn’t work all the time. Of course, whether or not this proposal will work and be adopted by others remains to be seen, but it sounds like a good idea.

Last year, there were rumors that there could be a new Nintendo Switch model in the works that would essentially be an upgraded model of the current Switch. Those rumors later proved to be wrong. Earlier this month, those rumors surfaced once again, and this time it made a bit more sense given that more time had passed.
As it turns out, those rumors are wrong yet again. This is according to Nintendo’s CEO and President Shuntaro Furukawa who said that the company has no plans to launch a new Switch model in 2020. While Furukawa acknowledges that the Switch is in the halfway through its hardware lifecycle, he believes that they can still get more out of the current model instead of releasing a new one.
According to Furukawa, “According to the conventional wisdom for dedicated video game platforms, Nintendo Switch should be entering the midway phase of the hardware lifecycle. But we believe we have built a foundation on which we can pursue further growth opportunities for Nintendo Switch.”
Last year, instead of releasing an upgraded model, Nintendo released a smaller and more portable version of the console known as the Switch Lite. They also released a newer SKU of the Switch that basically only came with better battery life.
