Canon’s Next Mirrorless Camera Will Be Able To Shoot 8K Videos

If you’re looking for a new mirrorless camera, Canon’s EOS R series has been actually pretty well-received compared to some of its previous efforts, and if video recording is one of the main features you’re lookin at, Canon might just have you covered as the company has recently announced the development of its next mirrorless camera, the EOS R5.

This will be the next mirrorless camera that will be coming from Canon and while we do not know when it will be released, Canon has teased some of its upcoming features. One of which is its video recording capabilities where the EOS R5 will be capable of capturing video footage at a whopping 8K.

If 8K is too much for you, not to worry because Canon also claims that the EOS R5 will be able to downsample 8K videos into sharper and higher quality 4K, which is currently more or less the video standard that many are shooting at. Other features include a mechanical shutter that Canon claims will be able to shoot in bursts of 12 FPS, or 20 FPS with the electronic shutter, thus allowing sports photographers to better capture the action at games.

There will also be the inclusion of in-body image stabilization and dual SD card slots. Like we said, Canon did not mention when the EOS R5 will be announced, but based on these features, it is definitely a camera worth keeping an eye out for in the near future.

Android’s New ‘Emoji Kitchen’ Will Make Chatting A Lot More Fun

One of the problems with emojis is that they tend to be a bit static. While many companies have expanded on the number of different types of emojis over the years, we reckon that it could stand to be a bit more varied. Thankfully, Google has an idea and that is to combine various emojis together to create new mashups.

This new series of emojis will be available for Android users in the form of the “Emoji Kitchen”. As you can see in the image above, this basically mashes up a couple of emojis together to create a new type of emoji that will be more expressive and fun to use. However, the downside is that at the moment, you can’t just mix and match your own.

Instead, right now users will be pretty much at the mercy of Google’s designers. This means that if certain emojis have yet to be combined, then you’d be out of luck. However, users can check out what’s available by tapping on an emoji and wait for suggestions to appear. Also, this feature is only available for Gboard on Android, which presumably should eventually find its way to iOS users as well (or so we hope).

The new Emoji Kitchen should already be rolling out to Android users as we speak, so do make sure you’re running the latest version of Gboard to check it out.

The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild Sequel Could Feature A Playable Zelda

There have been rumors suggesting that Nintendo could be working on a sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and at E3 2019, the company pretty much confirmed it in a teaser trailer. Unfortunately, not much else is known about the game at this point in time, but now there are rumors suggesting some of its potential features.

According to the rumors, of the new features that will be introduced to the sequel will come in the form of a playable Zelda. While the game is named after Zelda, the main character that players control in the game is Link. The rumors are saying that with the sequel, Zelda might be a playable character, albeit in limited scope as she will only be playable while in dungeons.

This suggests that there could be some kind of buddy mechanic that is not uncommon in many RPGs. This would also allow for the creation of more complex puzzles that players will have to solve using both characters, and it has also been suggested that some of them might even require Zelda to use her triforce abilities.

Needless to say that this should be taken with a grain of salt for now, but with Nintendo confirming that they will be at E3 2020, hopefully more details about this sequel will be revealed then. As it stands, there is still no word on when the game will be released, but we wouldn’t be surprised if it were to arrive at the earliest in 2021.

4G Variants Of The Samsung Galaxy S20 Will Be Offered In Some Markets

Unlike last year’s Samsung Galaxy S10 smartphones, Samsung made it a point to offer up 5G across all of its Galaxy S20 smartphones this year. This is no doubt good news for those looking to hop onto the 5G bandwagon, but at the same time, 5G still isn’t quite as widely-available around the world just yet.

For those countries and markets that have yet to roll out 5G, it seems that Samsung will actually offer up 4G variants for those markets. So far, these markets include the UK, mainland Europe, and India, just to name a few. For those living in the US, it seems that Samsung will only offer the Galaxy S20 in 5G, although we suppose that’s not necessarily a bad thing.

Apart from the difference in 4G and 5G, the phones will be identical in terms of hardware and performance (aside from connectivity speeds). Also, if you were hoping that the 4G variant will be cheaper, apparently that will not be the case. This means that if you do have the option to buy the 5G model, then maybe you should.

At the very least once 5G does roll out in your region, you’ll be able to hop on it pretty much right away, instead of being stuck with the 4G model and having to buy a new 5G phone further down the road.

Samsung Just Lowered The Prices Of Its Galaxy S10 Lineup

Samsung recently announced its new smartphones in the form of the Galaxy S20 series. These phones are by no means cheap, but the good news is that if you want to save some money and don’t necessarily need to have the latest or greatest smartphone (at the moment), Samsung has your back.

In addition to launching the Galaxy S20 lineup, Samsung has also announced that they will be keeping the Galaxy S10 lineup around. They will also (naturally) be lowering the prices across the board for the Galaxy S10 series of phones, meaning that if you wanted to save yourself some money, now’s a good time as any.

So how much will Samsung’s 2019 smartphones cost? For the Samsung Galaxy S10e, the price has been lowered to $599 from $749, while the Galaxy S10 will now cost $699 instead of $899, and the Galaxy S10 Plus will be priced at $799 instead of $999. These new prices have yet to come into effect, but if you want to save yourself a few hundred bucks, maybe you might want to hold off on buying it just yet until the new prices enter the system.

Samsung’s decision isn’t exactly new or groundbreaking. Companies like Apple have typically kept previous-gen smartphones around even after the new ones have been announced, and usually at lowered prices as well.
