The Xbox Series X Will Have The Ability To Resume Games After Reboot

Microsoft’s Xbox Series X is something to watch out for. However, before launch, we are getting several tiny pieces of information on what it’s capable of.

In one of the podcasts, Larry Hryb (Director of Programming for the Microsoft gaming network) mentioned that a resume feature (for multiple games) will be baked in the new series X console.

To further add, the resume feature will help you easily reboot the console and still be able to get back to the same point in the game.

Of course, this sounds like a big deal. For instance, you have a system update – but when you reboot it after the update, you potentially lose the save point in the game. Instead of making sure that you had the latest save point, the new Xbox Series X will let you resume exactly where you left.

Not just limited to one game here – but multiple games. You can easily switch from one game to another without losing the progress as well. So, you do not have to worry about resuming a game if you’ve accidentally left the console on standby with the new generation of Xbox console.

In addition to that, we might witness “audio ray tracing” in the Xbox Series X to improve the immersive experience of the game sound.

We shall keep an eye out for the exciting list of features expected in the Xbox Series X. What do you think about it?
