Over the course of the months, some of its partners, like Microsoft, have either voiced support for the embattled Chinese giant while others, like ARM, have found ways to circumvent the rather … Continue reading

Apple’s Rumored Over-Ear Headphones Appears In Target’s Inventory System

For a while now, Apple has been rumored to be working on a pair of over-ear headphones. It’s starting to look like those rumors are gaining traction because according to a recent sighting, it has been spotted in Target’s inventory system that such a device could very well exist.

According to the inventory listing, it mentions the Apple AirPods (X Generation). Now you might be thinking that this name could be in reference to the wireless earbuds Apple makes, but the price tag of $399.99 clearly suggests that this could be something else entirely. This is because the current AirPods Pro is priced at $249, meaning that the price of $399.99 is much too high to be the AirPods that we know.

Also, according to AppleInsider, they spoke to several Target staff members who claim that the pricing is accurate, but the name might not be. This is because they claim that it is common practice for the retailer to use placeholder names, meaning that the final product might be called something else entirely.

At the moment, Apple does make over-ear headphones under the Beats brand. However, apart from new colors, Apple has yet to officially introduce new models. It is unclear if these new headphones will replace the Beats lineup, but we’ll have to wait and see until the 31st of March where Apple has been rumored to host an event.

Top TikTok Stars Could Earn As Much As $1 Million Per Post

Remember back in the day when bloggers could earn a ton of money for sponsored posts? This later moved on to social media platforms, where those who were particularly popular on platforms like Instagram could also earn a lot of money, but now it looks like we’re moving on to a new platform: TikTok.

For those unfamiliar, TikTok is a music/social media app originating from China. It allows users to create fun videos with music and dance to them. However, it now seems that it has moved on from being just a fun platform to one that could be particularly lucrative for the platform’s top stars, where it has been estimated by market researchers that some of the top stars could charge as much as $1 million per post they make.

For example, researchers believe that Aashika Bhatia, a 19-year-old Indian actress who has 14 million followers and is gaining tens of thousands a day, could potentially charge companies $0.005 per sponsored post. Assuming she somehow manages to be followed that all of the platform’s 194 million users, she could earn close to $1 million per post.

While that might seem like a lot of money, James Whatley, strategy partner at the marketing agency Digitas UK says, “I can actually believe those numbers if you look at how much money has been thrown at Instagram. [TikTok] is the hot new thing and tonnes of money is being thrown at it. The fastest way to get traction on TikTok is to get the number-one influencer to promote your stuff. Just this week TikTok and [computer game] Fortnite announced a partnership deal with a competition for a TikTok dance to be recreated on Fortnite.”

Google Makes It Easier To Search Gmail

Searching for emails in Gmail isn’t particularly hard to do, but the good news is that Google will be making things easier with a newly-introduced feature in the form of “search chips”, which will let users further refine their search results similar to how you would refine your searches made on Google.

As it stands, searching in Gmail uses the search bar and you type in the subject name or the person’s email or keywords, and that’s pretty much it. However, with search chips, users will be able to further refine their searches by excluding things like chat, the sent date, whether or not it has an attachment, and so on.

Users will also be able to filter out less important emails such as calendar updates, and so on, and hopefully this will help users find what they’re looking for faster. According to Google, “We’ve heard from our users that searching in Gmail could be faster and more intuitive. With search chips, you can easily refine your search results and find what you’re looking for faster, without needing to sort through irrelevant returns or use search operators.”

Google notes that the new search chip feature is already being rolled out as we speak, but it could take up to 15 days before it reaches all users.
