Researchers have been able to create a new camera that doesn’t require focusing using a single lens that is very thin. The technology has significant benefits over traditional cameras, like those used in smartphones today. One of the significant benefits is that current cameras require multiple lenses to form high-quality, in-focus images. Researchers on the project from the University of … Continue reading

In the early days of the smartwatch, many of the luxury Swiss watchmakers snubbed their noses at the devices, believing that they would never be able to replace a traditional watch. While there is still a time and place for more traditional timepieces, it’s impossible to deny how wearables has taken the world by storm.
Watchmaker Tag Heuer has since hopped on board the smartwatch bandwagon, and it looks like the company is back with its latest model in the third-gen Connected series. The new Connected smartwatch will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 3100 chipset, replacing the Intel chipsets that powered its previous models.
In addition, the new Connected smartwatch will come with a host of sensors including a heart rate sensor, a compass, an accelerometer, and gyroscopic sensors. It also comes with a slightly bigger 430mAh battery. While the hardware has changed greatly, one of the biggest changes is the design of the smartwatch itself, where the third-gen model now sports a much slimmed down look.
Tag Heuer has also announced that they will be doing away with their previous plan that allowed users to trade in their smartwatches for the company’s more traditional watches. The third-gen model is also more expensive where it is priced starting at $1,800, about $200 more expensive than its predecessor.

Many have been asking Twitter to implement the option to edit their tweets or to undo them, but recently, Twitter’s CEO pretty much shot that idea down. This is because Twitter wants users to live in the moment, where tweets act as snapshots of how users feel and what they are thinking about in the moment, and editing tweets kind of takes away that moment.
The good news is that if you don’t mind forking out $6 a month, you might want to check out Brizzly+, a new third-party Twitter client that will bring those features to the platform, kind of. How Brizzly+ works is that it gives users the option of choosing the delay when they post a tweet, where users can choose between 10-seconds and up to 10 minutes.
This means that when you post your tweet, depending on your preference, you’ll have anywhere between 10 seconds and 10 minutes to either undo the tweet or edit it before it actually goes live on Twitter. It also means that once the tweet has been sent out onto Twitter’s platform, you’ll no longer be able to recall it or edit it.
The app will also give users the option of automatically deleting their tweets after a set period of time, similar to Stories on Instagram and Snapchat. However, this feature might not be quite as useful given that Twitter is already testing out something similar of their own. For those who are interested, head on over to Brizzly’s website to check out the app and try it out in a free two-week trial.

Due to the outbreak of the coronavirus, many companies around the world, especially in China, have been forced to shut down and temporarily halt operations. Foxconn was one of the companies that was affected, but now according to a report from Reuters, it seems that things have returned to normal.
The report quotes Foxconn founder Terry Guo, who told reporters over in Taipei that component supplies to its factories in China and Vietnam had returned to normal. Guo claims that resumption of Foxconn’s activities had exceeded their expectations, although he does warn that supply chains based in Japan and Korea were a concern.
This is because both Japan and Korea are still dealing with the virus outbreak, whereas over in China, things seem to have stabilized somewhat where the country is reporting less cases of infected persons in the recent days. That being said, it is unclear how Foxconn’s resumption of their activities could affect Apple.
Foxconn has long been known to be a partner of Apple where they assemble the majority of Apple’s products. We have heard reports that the iPhone SE 2 could be delayed, but like we said, we’re not sure if Foxconn’s resumption of their operations could reverse the delay, so we’ll just have to wait and see for ourselves.
