Ever wanted to know what to order at a restaurant? If you are in a new country exploring new restaurants, then you might want to consider firing up Google Maps. This is because according to a report from 9to5Google, it has been revealed that the company has integrated Google Lens into Google Maps.
Back at Google I/O 2019, Google announced that Lens would be gaining the ability to analyze the menu of a restaurant by scanning it. It looks like the same feature is now integrated into Google Maps, users can browse menus and use Google Lens to analyze the menu where it will be able to highlight some of the popular dishes of the restaurant so that users will have an idea of what’s popular and what they should order.
While users could always launch Google Lens to do the same thing, this will save users an extra step or two, especially if you’re already on Google Maps and you’re browsing restaurant listings and its menus. If you’re an Android user, note that the feature has already been rolled out, so keep an eye out for it if this is a feature that you think will be useful. As for iOS users, it seems that it is not available yet.

The spread of the coronavirus is presenting itself as a huge problem for the entire world. This has affected the health of many people worldwide, but it also has huge implications on businesses and the economy, especially with people being quarantined, factories being forced to shut down, and so on.
This is why there were plans for a conference called “Doing Business Under Coronavirus” that was organized by the Council on Foreign Relations. Ironically enough, it seems that the conference will no longer be moving ahead due to the fact that the coronavirus is such a problem that it might not be the best idea for groups of people to gather in confined spaces for extended periods of time.
The event was supposed to take place between the 11th of March to the 3rd of April, where it would be held in New York and Washington. However, like we said, the event has since been cancelled. This would also not be the first conference to fall victim to the coronavirus outbreak.
Previously, MWC 2020 which is the largest conference in the world related to all things mobile, was also cancelled. Google has also since decided not to host a physical I/O event this year, and Apple’s rumored March event is also said to have been axed. There is now doubt cast on whether or not Apple’s WWDC 2020 event, planned for mid-year, will proceed as planned.

According to the rumors, Apple could be looking at developing a foldable phone of their own. Whether or not that happens remains to be seen, although given that the recent batch of foldable phones that was released seemed to encounter build and durability issues, Apple could be looking at alternatives.
In a recently-discovered patent, it seems that Apple is looking at the possibility of creating a smartphone with dual displays. This means that instead of a smartphone with a singular display that can be bent and folded, this dual display setup will basically combine two displays into one when opened that will give it the illusion that it is a single display.
How Apple plans on achieving this, at least based on the patent, is by creating two displays that have little to no bezels, so that when the phone is opened and the displays are joined, it looks like a single piece. The patent also describes the use of various sensors that will help the phone determine when the displays are touching, so that the OS can react accordingly.
Dual display smartphones aren’t new, and companies like LG have already toyed with such designs. In fact, even Microsoft is planning on launching a dual display smartphone later this year in the form of the Surface Duo. That being said, with this being a patent, it’s hard to say if it will ever become a reality.

The Vivo NEX S helped put the Chinese manufacturer on the global map thanks to the market’s first pop-up camera. That was almost two years ago and, since then, a lot more of its kind have popped up and then faded from the scene. It doesn’t seem like Vivo is willing to let go of that legacy just yet. Proof … Continue reading
Bridging the physical and digital worlds has always been a dream for many tech companies, especially when it can create new experiences that, in turn, generate sales or customer engagement.
