This Chart Will Tell You What Kind Of Space-Based Sci-Fi You're About To Watch Just By Looking At The Main Ship

The other day, I was scrolling through Netflix, looking for a distraction from all the pain of my hair and all my terrible car opinions, seeking out some quality space-travel-focused sci-fi, because I love that crap. As I was scrolling, looking at the thumbnails of the various movies and shows and whatever, I realized…

Epic Finally Kills Off Fortnite’s Controversial Aim Assist Controller Setting

Epic’s Fortnite Battle Royale is a game that has managed to capture the world by storm, but it is not without its fair share of criticisms and controversies. One of those includes a controller settings in the game in which it basically allows users to have aim assist, thus making it easier for users to aim at their enemies without having to try too hard.

Dubbed the Legacy Look Control, this was designed to give players who use a controller to better compete against players who use keyboard and mouse. Given that those who use a keyboard and mouse have a better advantage over those who use a controller, Legacy Look Control basically allowed users to spam their aim trigger to lock onto a target and even track enemies through structures.

Clearly this is a little overpowered and there are some who might even consider this to be cheating, as it almost feels like Epic built in an aimbot into the game. The feature will be removed from the game on the 13th of March, and players will have until then to copy their settings over.

While there will still be aim assist for controller gamers, it will not be as “overpowered” compared to what was offered previously. While this will no doubt appease players who use a keyboard and mouse combo, we’re sure that there will be plenty of controller gamers who won’t be too thrilled by these changes.

Travel Ban Could Be The Reason Behind 5G iPhone Delay

According to the rumors, Apple is said to be planning on launching a 5G iPhone this year. While Apple hasn’t confirmed anything, it makes perfect sense as the Android competition has already launched several models starting back in 2019, so it does seem about time that Apple hops onto the bandwagon.

However, recently we have heard that Apple could be forced to delay the launch of the handset, and now a report from DigiTimes has revealed one of the potential reasons why, and it is because of a travel ban.

As some of you might have heard, the world is experiencing an epidemic with the coronavirus (COVID-19), which has resulted in various government organizations around the world to issue travel advisories and bans to certain countries. According to the report, the travel ban has prevented Apple’s engineers from flying to countries in Asia where they would need to go in order to test the 5G iPhone models.

The report reads, “Travel restrictions reportedly delaying tests for next-generation iPhone: Apple reportedly has extended the deadline by one month to the end of April for the removal of a set of travel restrictions preventing its engineers from making business trips to Asia, a decision that could have a direct impact on the planned launch of 5G iPhone devices in the second half of 2020, according to industry sources.”

Of course, whether or not this will result in a delay remains to be seen, but recently there have also been reports that suggests that the iPhone SE 2 has also been delayed.

Apple’s Upcoming Powerbeats4 Wireless Earphones Leaked

While Apple’s AirPods are used by many at the gym, the fact that they are only splash resistant means that it might not necessarily be too useful for those who perform very intensive workouts and might sweat a lot, especially if you want to rinse them off later. This is where the Powerbeats series comes in, and it looks like Apple could have a new model in the works.

According to images obtained by WinFuture.de, it looks like Apple has a new Powerbeats model in development known as the Powerbeats4. In terms of design, they don’t look too different from its predecessors where they will sport a hook that will better secure it around the ears of the wearer, making it ideal for a workout set of earphones.

They are also wireless, but not “true” wireless as they still come with a cable that connects each side together and will be worn across the back of the neck. In terms of features, the new Powerbeats4 is rumored to offer Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity, support for hands-free “Hey Siri”, and 30% lower latency.

It is also rumored to have much better battery life where they have been rated for 15 hours, along with support for “Fast Fuel”, a feature that adds an extra 60 minutes of battery after just 5 minutes of charging. The earphones have yet to be officially launched, but we imagine that it shouldn’t be too far off.

Amazon Wants To Bring Its Cashier-Less Grocery Store Tech To Other Supermarkets

A couple of years ago, Amazon launched Amazon Go, the supermarket of the future in which customers could just take items off the shelf and walk out of the store and automatically be charged for what they took. This is versus the current design of supermarkets that still require users to pay at a cashier.

Now it looks like the company is interested in licensing out its tech to other supermarkets where they have launched a new website for supermarkets that might be interested in it. According to Amazon, “Just Walk Out technology enables shoppers to simply enter a store, grab what they want, and just go. Born from years of experience at Amazon Go, Just Walk Out uses a combination of technologies to eliminate checkout lines.”

“We now offer retailers the ability to leverage this technology in their stores to help bring fast and convenient checkout experiences to more shoppers.” How it works is that supermarkets will feature a turnstile where customers will insert a credit card into it.

They can then go ahead and proceed with their shopping where the tech will recognize items picked up by the customer and will then bill them once they leave the store. It is an interesting piece of tech that could be more efficient than the current setup, but it remains to be seen which supermarkets will be adopting the system.
