Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker said the state was “right in the middle” of a coronavirus surge.
While there’s no disputing the security and accuracy of Apple’s Face ID system, it’s hard to ignore the fact that it is simply not quite as convenient as Touch ID. We’re sure that some iPhone users were bummed when Touch ID was replaced with Face ID, but recent rumors have suggested that Apple is still working on creating an in-display version of Touch ID.
However, interestingly enough, that feature might not debut on the iPhone first, but could instead find its way to the iPad. This is according to Twitter user L0vetodream who has recently posted a treasure trove of leaked Apple product information, one of which claims that an in-display Touch ID sensor could find its way to future iPads.
We say that this is interesting because in the past, new hardware features typically find their way to iPhones first before getting ported to the iPad. However, in recent years, the iPads have been getting the newer features first before the iPhone, like the 2020 iPad Pro that comes with a LiDAR scanner.
It is unclear which iPad model will receive this rumored in-display Touch ID sensor, but last we heard, Apple was said to be working on a high-end iPad Pro with a mini LED display, so perhaps that could be the model to receive said feature.

When the iPhone X was launched with Face ID and its TrueDepth camera system, many lambasted Apple for the notch in the screen used to house the cameras and sensors. If you were hoping for a less intrusive design, you could partially get your wish in the upcoming iPhone 12.
This is according to a tweet by Jon Prosser of FrontpageTech who has shared images of what appears to be the drawing for the iPhone 12 which shows off a noticeably smaller notch. It should be noted that this is not the first time we’re seeing images of the iPhone 12 with a potentially smaller notch.
Earlier this month there was a similar leak that seemed to confirm the design changes. We’re not sure if a smaller notch will make that much of a difference, especially since for the most part, apps have managed to design around it and used the notch area mostly for statuses. Plus we’ve also heard that it is pretty difficult to eliminate the notch as hiding cameras under the display isn’t as easy as one might think.

That being said, other rumored design changes include flat edges around the phone where the handset is expected to be reminiscent in terms of design to the newer iPad Pros and the iPhone 5.

Honestly, we almost forgot about the Hennessey Venom F5. Maybe we got distracted by other speed demons like the Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+ and Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut – both of which are capable of breaking 300+ mph. But in reality, it had something to do with the long wait. You see, Hennessey revealed the Venom F5 way back in … Continue reading
According to the rumors, the iPhone 12 could actually be delayed to 2021. However, there have also been some conflicting reports and opinions that suggest that the phone could still be on track for a 2020 launch. Now in a new report from Reuters, it looks as though they are confirming that the iPhone 12 will still launch in 2020, except that it might be delayed to November.
For the past few years, Apple has typically kept the iPhone launch around September. There have been some slight delays, but it’s typically around the September timeframe. However, Reuters cites analysts from Goldman Sachs who believes that the iPhone 12’s launch could instead be pushed to November.
The report from Goldman Sachs claims that the delay could be due to a variety of reasons, but mostly it is because of the coronavirus outbreak. This has impacted a lot of industries and has also restricted travel, meaning that Apple might have to wait until much later than they would like before their engineers can fly out to China for final engineering inspections and also for production.
This is not the first time we’re hearing about travel being one of the issues that could delay the phone’s launch. Apple has yet to confirm anything, but it is reported that the company will probably end up deciding on a more firm date next month.

Contact tracing is one of the key elements that could help reduce the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus, both during lockdown but especially after it. Most contact tracing, however, is being done manually, relying on people’s memories, travel records, and other pieces of data that slow down the process significantly. Governments are now looking towards technological alternatives and one of … Continue reading
