The COVID-19 Virus Outbreak Has Not Stopped Banksy From ‘Working’ From Home

With the COVID-19 virus outbreak forcing people to stay at home, we imagine that some people are no doubt going stir-crazy. However, just because you are stuck at home it doesn’t mean that you cannot be productive. Take a look at artist Banksy, known for his thought-provoking political graffiti that can be found around the world.

Banksy, like the rest of us, is now stuck at home, but it doesn’t mean that the artist has stopped creating. In a series of photos posted onto Instagram, he has shared how he has been making full use of his time, such as by drawing in his bathroom, which according to his caption, has irked his wife to no end.

In the Instagram post below, you can see how Banksy has rearranged his bathroom and drew on the walls to make it look like a family of mice has invaded it. As expected of Banksy, it is a pretty awesome job and everything looks like it has been put together rather cleverly, and it is also pretty humorous.

We’re not sure how long this coronavirus outbreak will continue and how long people are expected to self-isolate for, so if you’re looking for something to do, maybe you can try and recreate Banksy’s look in your own bathroom!

New Report Reiterates Claims That The iPhone 12 Could Be Delayed

Apple’s iPhone 12 should be announced later this year around September, as the company has done in the past with its previous models. However, in the recent weeks, we have been hearing rumors that the launch may no longer be happening. Some reports are even claiming that it could only be in 2021 that the device is launched.

There are numerous reasons why this could be the case, such as potential supply chain disruptions due to the coronavirus pandemic, while other reports claim that possible weak demand due to the economy could force Apple to delay the launch. Now it looks like a new report from DigiTimes is reiterating those claims, that the 5G iPhone 12 might not be launched this fall.

According to the publication, “Uncertainty has emerged about whether Apple will debut its flagship iPhone series in the usual September timeframe this year, judging from the severity of the coronavirus pandemic and weak end-market demand, the sources noted.” A recent report has also suggested that not only will the iPhone 12 be delayed, but Apple’s rumored high-end iPad Pro with a mini LED display could also be potentially delayed to 2021.

That being said, while there are reports about a potential delay, others are still optimistic about the iPhone 12’s launch, and that it could still happen this year. Needless to say that this should be taken with a grain of salt for now, but we’ll be keeping our eyes peeled for more information.

The New iPhone SE’s Battery Is Disappointingly Small

Yesterday, Apple announced its brand new iPhone SE. The phone is the successor to the original iPhone SE with updated hardware and specs and a brand new design. It also only costs $399, which is much, much cheaper than what Apple is asking for for its other higher-end iPhone models.

However, as expected for that price, there will be compromises on its specs. While Apple isn’t really one to dive into the tech specs of its products, a recent listing by a Chinese reseller has revealed some of its potential specs, such as its battery where it seems that the new iPhone SE has a disappointingly small 1,821mAh battery.

Now, there’s no way to know for sure if these specs are accurate until a teardown has been conducted, but we imagine that to get the price of the iPhone SE down to $399, we wouldn’t be surprised if Apple opted for lower-end components, and a smaller battery could be one of them. By comparison, the base iPhone 11 launched in 2019 has a 3,110mAh battery, meaning that if these specs are true, the iPhone SE has a battery size about 1,200mAh less, which will no doubt have a huge impact on the overall battery life of the phone.

That being said, the iPhone SE is still quite a powerful device despite the potentially smaller battery. It is powered by the same A13 chipset used in the iPhone 11 and also relies on the same camera smarts of the iPhone XR that allows it to capture photos with bokeh despite it sporting a single lens.

Facebook Will Now Warn Users If They’ve Interacted With COVID-19 Misinformation

Now with the coronavirus spreading around the world, many are no doubt eager to share whatever news that they might find about the virus, such as its spread, potential cures, and so on. However, sometimes this information can be false or misleading, and sharing them will only spread this misinformation and cause undue panic or lead to people making wrong decisions.

Social media is one place that you can easily find and spread such misinformation, and on Facebook’s end, the company has recently introduced a new feature that could help curb this practice. The platform will now begin to alert users if they have interacted with posts on Facebook that are found to be false.

This means that if you’ve ever liked or reacted or shared a coronavirus post on Facebook that has been deemed to be wrong or false, Facebook will now alert you to it. They will also provide links to websites like the WHO that have debunked said false information. This means that unless the user is purposely sharing misinformation, by providing them with accurate information, it will help them change their minds or maybe retract their earlier posts and share the correct information instead.

We imagine that this feature can be applied not just to coronavirus information, but other fake news posts in the future as well.

iPad With Mini LED Display Delayed To 2021

Recently it was discovered that 2020’s iPad Pro refresh comes with an A12Z chipset that is almost identical to the 2018 iPad Pro’s A12X chipset, save for an extra GPU core that was enabled. Given that there was almost a 2 year gap between the tablets, many are no doubt a little perplexed by Apple’s decision.

This is because according to the rumors, Apple had plans to launch a high-end iPad Pro with a mini LED display later in the year. We say “had plans” because according to a note from Hong Kong based analyst Jeff Pu, he claims that Apple’s iPad with a mini LED display will not be launching this year and has reportedly been delayed to 2021 instead.

Pu does not provide a reason why the iPad could be delayed, but as Cult of Mac notes, it could be due to the disruption to Apple’s supply chain as a result of the coronavirus outbreak around the world. The virus has forced many companies to temporarily suspend their operations which has no doubt caused a backlog in product orders and manufacturing, thus potentially causing future products to be delayed further.

That being said, Apple has not confirmed anything regarding an iPad with a mini LED display so it’s hard to say if this is true, but if you were looking forward to it, then you might be disappointed as there is a chance that it might not debut this year.
