The creators of “Orange Is The New Black” plan to put together “Social Distance” in isolation.
Back when the giants Samsung and Huawei were competing over foldable phones, there were two schools of design that became prevalent last year. It was the Galaxy Fold’s “innie” versus the Mate X’s “outie”. Neither has been completely impervious to accidents but the Huawei Mate X may have been taking too many risks. That may be just one of two … Continue reading

Though trolls are generally a social menace we would all do well to keep out of our lives, recent events led to Dreamworks raking in a wild amount of money off them—by putting Trolls World Tour out directly on demand due to movie theaters across the world being closed amid the novel coronavirus pandemic.
Google’s experimental Area 120 unit launched Shoelace in mid-2019 as a way to help people get together in real life. Unfortunately, the fledgling social network won’t make it out of the experimental phase — the tech giant has announced that Shoelace…

With Google’s Chromebooks, updates to Chrome OS and the Chrome browser are tied together. This means that in order to get the latest version of Chrome, Google needs to issue a new update to Chrome OS. Given that Chromebooks do have a life expectancy, it means that eventually your Chromebook will expire, and along with that, your Chrome updates.
Updates are extremely important as it means that security flaws, exploits, and vulnerabilities are patched, bugs fixed, and new features are added. By surfing the web on an outdated browser, it leaves users open to attacks. The good news is that Google is looking to do something about it by separating Chrome OS and Chrome browser updates from each other.
This means that in the future, your Chrome browser on an expired Chromebook could still technically receive updates even if Chrome OS for that particular Chromebook isn’t. Given that we don’t change our laptops or computers every year, it is important as it could keep users secure while they browse for years to come.
That being said, it is unclear when Google plans on rolling out these changes, but as 9to5Google notes, this is a massive undertaking and it could be a while before we see it pushed out to Chromebook users out there.

YouTube Will Introduce Fact Check Information Panels To Fight COVID-19 Misinformation
Posted in: Today's ChiliThese days people are hungry for news related to the COVID-19 virus outbreak. Everyone is obviously trying to gain an understanding of what’s going on, what kind of developments are there, and what people out there have to say about it. Naturally, there is also a ton of misinformation out there that could lead to disastrous consequences.
To help fight any misinformation out there, YouTube is now displaying what they are calling “fact check information panels” whenever users in the US search for COVID-19 information on its platform. These information panels made its debut back in India and Brazil last year, but it looks like the company is now expanding it to the US.
According to YouTube, “We’re now using these panels to help address an additional challenge: Misinformation that comes up quickly as part of a fast-moving news cycle, where unfounded claims and uncertainty about facts are common. (For example, a false report that COVID-19 is a bio-weapon.) Our fact check information panels provide fresh context in these situations by highlighting relevant, third-party fact-checked articles above search results for relevant queries, so that our viewers can make their own informed decision about claims made in the news.”
YouTube is not alone in trying to fight misinformation out there. Platforms like Facebook are also doing their part. WhatsApp is also trying to curb the spread by limiting the number of forwarded messages, which according to the company has seen a drop by 70% ever since the limitation was introduced.

DJI is well-known in the drone community for its series of drones that they have been releasing over the years. It looks like the company is back with its latest drone in the form of the DJI Mavic Air 2, which comes with some pretty high-end features like the ability to shoot and record video in 8K resolution.
Unlike some of DJI’s other drones, the Mavic Air 2 continues with the tradition of being a highly-portable drone thanks to its foldable design. The drone weighs about 570 grams and features brand new motors, electric speed controllers, a new aerodynamic design, and also better battery technology, which improves the drone’s maximum flight time over its predecessor, where it can now stay airborne for up to 34 minutes.
It will also be capable of transmitting HD video over-the-air over a distance of 10km, thanks to DJI’s use of the OcuSync 2.0 technology. The drone will also feature a larger 1/2-inch sensor, 4K video at 60fps and 120Mbps, HDR video, slow motion video capture, and also the ability to shoot images with its 48MP sensor. There is also a built-in 3-axis gimbal that will help it capture more stable footage.
In terms of pricing and availability, the new DJI Mavic Air 2 will be priced starting at $799 which includes the drone, one battery, and one remote control. There is a more expensive $988 option which includes all of the above, but will also come with a shoulder bag, a set of ND filters, a charging hub, and 3 batteries. The DJI Mavic Air 2 will be shipping mid-May, but it is available for pre-order now.
