Chinese Students Revive Ancient Song Dynasty Fashion To Practice Social Distancing

In the recent months, we’ve come across videos of people coming with creative ways to practice social distancing, such putting on bulky costumes and contraptions that literally make it impossible for people to come within at least 1 meter of their personal space. Now it looks like elementary school students in China are doing the same.

In photos that have recently surfaced, it shows how students at the Yangzheng Elementary School in China have revived an ancient fashion accessory worn during the Song Dynasty (960-1279). If you have ever watched movies or TV shows based on ancient China, then these are hats that you might have seen, where they come with long “wings” on each side of the hat.

The hats weren’t actually designed as a way to practice social distancing. According to the story, it seems that the dynasty’s emperor at that time, Taizu, came up with the design of the hat in order to maintain court etiquette and to prevent others from conspiring against him. He believed that the wings on the hat would make it difficult for officials to whisper to each other without poking each other in the face, thus preventing them from conspiring against him while in court.

Speaking to the Zhejiang Daily newspaper, Hong Feng, the school’s principal, was quoted as saying, “This was indeed our innovation. We’re advocating students to wear a one-meter hat and maintain one meter’s distance.”

The Pentagon Has Officially Released Declassified Videos Showing UFOs

Are UFOs real? Over the decades we have come across various stories, photos, and videos that allegedly show UFOs, but it’s hard to tell if those photos and videos are the real deal. For those who wonder if there might life on other planets or galaxies, it’s starting to look like we might not be alone.

This is because the Pentagon has officially released a trio of declassified videos that seem to show UFOs caught in action. If you have been following UFO-related news for a while now, some of these videos might seem familiar. This is because they had been leaked in the past, as confirmed by the Pentagon, and their official declassification does lend some credibility to them.

According to the Pentagon, “After a thorough review, the department has determined that the authorized release of these unclassified videos does not reveal any sensitive capabilities or systems, and does not impinge on any subsequent investigations of military air space incursions by unidentified aerial phenomena. DOD is releasing the videos in order to clear up any misconceptions by the public on whether or not the footage that has been circulating was real, or whether or not there is more to the videos.”

Now whether or not these videos depict the fact that aliens from other planets have come to Earth to visit us is unclear and the Pentagon has stopped short of actually saying that, but at the very least it does seem to confirm sightings of objects that until today, remain unidentified.

Apple Maps Will Now Show COVID-19 Testing Locations Across The US

If you’re starting to feel unwell or if maybe you think you might have come into contact with someone who might have the COVID-19 virus, you should probably get yourself tested ASAP. If you’re unsure where the testing locations are, you might be interested to learn that Apple Maps will now show you where the nearest testing locations are in your area.

Apple had begun rolling out this particular feature earlier this month, but now it looks like it has rolled out to all users where COVID-19 testing locations across the US are now being shown on Apple Maps. This will make it easier for users to find a testing location that is closest to them, or they can help friends or family members find testing locations that are in their area as well, in case they do not know about it.

Testing for COVID-19 is extremely important because while you might not necessarily be sick or have the symptoms that indicate a COVID-19 infection, there are some people who are considered asymptomatic who do not display outward signs of having the virus. This means that these people could go around infecting others without knowing it, so being tested can help health officials better identify those who have the virus in order to stop the spread.

Tapping on the locations listed on Apple Maps will bring up information about the particular test site, such as information on how testing is being done and whether or not users need to make an appointment or have a doctor’s referral letter before they go.
