This Stunning Timelapse Took This Photographer 3 Years To Make

Timelapse photography is a very time-consuming process, although for the most part, we imagine that the majority of timelapse photography and videos don’t take quite as long as 3 years, which is how long it took Danish photographer Jonas Høholt to make his stunningly beautiful timelapse of his home in Jutland, Denmark.

The timelapse in question was created to showcase the changing of the seasons in an entire year, but according to Høholt, the reason his took so long was because he had to go through 12 different seasons over a period of 3 years in order for him to get the footage that he needed to piece this video together.

According to Høholt, “The countless hours spent on locations made me see and feel the difference of all four seasons. It opened my eyes to how similar nature actually is to humans; As nature takes a single breath all four seasons play before our eyes until she’s ready for the next breath and it all starts over again.”

We have to say that we have seen many timelapse videos before, but this has to be one of the most beautiful ones we’ve seen to date. For those who are curious as to how all of this came about and what went on behind-the-scenes, Høholt has released a follow-up video to show you how he captured all the necessary footage.

In the meantime, if this has inspired you to try and create your own timelapse videos, you can check out our guide here on how to take timelapse videos using your smartphone.

T-Mobile Will Be Dropping Sprint’s Branding This Summer

Right now in the US, there are four major carriers: AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, and T-Mobile. However, following the T-Mobile and Sprint merger, in reality, there are only three, although Sprint’s branding does continue to exist, but not for long as T-Mobile has revealed plans to eventually sunset the branding.

During a recent investor event held earlier this week, T-Mobile’s new CEO Mike Sievert revealed that come this summer, the carrier is expected to sunset Sprint’s brand. This means that following that move, Sprint will no longer exist and all Sprint customers will essentially be under T-Mobile’s banner.

Sievert notes that the company had always planned it for the summer, but they made some slight adjustments due to the COVID-19 pandemic. “With COVID-19, we moved it out into the mid-summer instead of the early summer, and this is when we will essentially be advertising one flagship postpaid T-Mobile brand as well as operating a unified fleet of retail. The retail piece is why we slowed down just a little bit.”

This is essentially just a change in branding, at least for now. Sprint customers will be able to continue using and paying for their existing plans, but that could change at a later date as we imagine that T-Mobile will probably want to unify all customers and plans across the board.

10.8-inch iPad, 9-inch iPad Mini Expected In Second Half Of 2020

Apple’s iPad lineup is a bit confusing at this point. In the past, there used to be just the iPad, followed by the iPad mini, but then Apple started to expand on the lineup with the iPad Air and iPad Pro, all in varying sizes and specs. Adding to that confusion, it seems that Apple could have new iPads planned for the second half of 2020 with even more new sizes.

This is according to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo who claims that for the second half of 2020, Apple could be launching a new iPad with a 10.8-inch display alongside a new iPad mini that could sport a display between 8.5-inches and 9-inches. To give you some context, the current iPad has a 10.2-inch display while the iPad Air has a 10.5-inch display. The iPad mini on the other hand is smaller with a 7.9-inch display.

It is unclear if the launch of a 10.8-inch iPad could replace the current iPad or iPad Air, or if it could simply be a new display option that customers can choose from. The display also adds a bit more confusion as there is an iPad Pro model with an 11-inch display, meaning that the 10.8-inch iPad falls 0.2-inches shy of the smaller iPad Pro, further blurring the lines between the models.

However, according to Kuo, Apple is expected to make these new iPads unique by offering them at more affordable prices while equipping them with faster chips, which as 9to5Mac points out, would be the same strategy the company adopted for the iPhone SE. In any case, take it with a grain of salt but if you’re in the market for a new iPad, then maybe it could be worth holding out for more details before buying.
