The ability to shop and buy products through Instagram isn’t exactly new. However, the company has announced that they will now be expanding on it, where they will allow more people like creators to sell their products through their Instagram profiles. This will no doubt be a welcome move especially with the pandemic, where some shops are still closed.
This will give creators more places in which they will be able to take orders and continue doing their business even when their physical stores may be closed. However, not everyone will qualify as Instagram has also announced new Commerce Eligibility Requirements. This means that sellers will need to meet these requirements in order to use Instagram as a selling platform.
According to the company, “With this new policy, businesses must tag products on Instagram from a single website that they own and sell from, so that people have a consistent and trusted shopping experience.”
They add, “We’ll also update our sign-up flow to give clearer guidance to businesses and offer more transparency into the types of businesses that we are best suited to support, such as creators who wish to grow their business on Instagram.” If you have a business that would like to take advantage of these changes, you can find out more details on the eligibility requirements here.

So Apple has unveiled iOS 14. With the latest update to the platform, Apple has introduced a ton of new features that they demoed in their livestream. Naturally, the company wouldn’t be able to cover all of the new features, so it doesn’t really come as a surprise to learn that there are actually a lot more changes that we can look forward to.
One of those features that was not announced actually comes in the form of a “double tap” on the back of the phone to perform actions. Yes, it seems that with iOS 14, Apple will be introducing a feature where users can double tap or triple tap on the back of their iPhone to perform specific commands.
For example, users will be able to set it up so that when they double tap on the back of the iPhone, it will launch Siri, or launch the App Switcher. They can also set a triple tap where it might take a screenshot on their phone, execute a Siri Shortcut, and so on. These are actually designed as accessibility features, but we imagine that they will be useful for anyone who’s looking for more things to do with their devices.
However, it should be noted that in its current iteration, there appears to be a bit of a delay when you double/triple tap. We’re not sure if is because the feature has yet to be properly optimized, or if it is done on purpose to prevent users from accidentally performing commands without intending to.

When the original Segway was first introduced, it was supposed to revolutionize the personal transportation system where it was envisioned that in the future, everyone would be traveling along on a Segway. Unfortunately, that has not come to pass, namely due to the fact that at $5,000, it was a hard sell.
Fast forward to today, it seems that the original Segway will be officially reaching the end of its life on the 15th of July. This doesn’t mean that the company doesn’t believe that personal transportation vehicles are a bad idea, but rather this particular model will no longer be made or sold.
The original Segway first debuted back in 2001, so the fact that it has been around and was still being produced 19 years later is actually rather impressive. The device was created by Dean Kamen who later sold the tech to a company called Ninebot back in 2015. According to the company, the original Segway is said to only account for 1.5% of its revenue, so we guess this decision doesn’t really come as a surprise.
Like we said, Ninebot is still very much planning on creating more personal transportation systems as earlier this year, they debuted the S-Pod which is basically a chair on wheels at CES 2020.
