Tesla Model 3 in the US to get USB-C, wireless charging

It definitely took a while but wireless charging has become more or less common even if it still isn’t a standard. While already a standard right from the start, USB-C, on the other hand, is only recently becoming more ubiquitous as well. But while computers and smartphones are quicker to adopt them, some places where you will find these new … Continue reading

Surface Duo dual-screen phone could debut next month

There may have been some collective disappointment when Microsoft once again put on hold the realization of its long-overdue Courier device, a.k.a. the Surface Neo. It still plans on dipping its toes and testing the waters of the dual-screen device category but with a less ambitious yet still novel Surface Duo. It was rumored that, contrary to the company’s plans … Continue reading

This Digital Art Gallery Used to Be a Nazi Submarine Base

When it was built nearly eight decades ago, the Nazi submarine base in Bordeaux, France was meant to house 43 U-Boats, German submarines that wreaked havoc at sea during World War II. But there are no signs of submarines or war at the base today. Now, it is called Bassins de Lumières, and it is the world’s largest…

iPhone 12 Could Face Potential Delays As Major Supplier Fails OLED Quality Tests

For the most part, Samsung supplies quite a lot of OLED panels to Apple for use in their iPhones. However, to reduce their reliance on Samsung, Apple is said to be working with other suppliers, such as BOE who has in the past delivered LCDs to the Cupertino company for a variety of Apple-related products.

However, BOE is said to also be looking to transition to supplying OLED, but it seems that they aren’t off to a good start. According to a report from Korean publication DDaily, they claim that BOE had “failed” their first shipment of OLED panels to Apple as they have reportedly failed its quality control tests.

At this point in time, it is unclear when this might have taken place and how it could potentially affect the iPhone 12’s launch time. We have heard that the iPhone 12 could be delayed this year to either October or November, but we’re not sure if this could have been the reason why or if it could be related to something else.

There have been reports that Apple has been working with BOE and testing the company’s OLED panels since at least August last year, so it is possible that these issues might have occurred earlier on and might impact the iPhone 12’s launch, but either way since there is no confirmation from either BOE or Apple, take it with a grain of salt.

Analyst Believes Sony’s PS5 Will Win The Next-Gen Console War

Neither the Sony PS5 nor Microsoft’s Xbox Series X have been released, but it seems that some analysts are already predicting that Sony will be winning the next-gen console war like they did with the PS4. This is according to Ampere Analysis who predicts that Sony will sell as many as 4.6 million units of the PS5 by the end of 2020, while Microsoft’s Xbox Series X will only manage 3.3 million units in the same period.

They even go one step further by predicting sales for the next four years, where they estimate that Sony’s lead over Microsoft will widen by the end of 2024, where the PS5 would have sold 66 million units versus the Xbox Series X’s 37 million units. Of course, these are just predictions and they might not necessarily come true, so it remains to be seen.

Sony’s PS4 has done very well for itself versus the Xbox One, especially in markets such as Japan where sales were previously reported to be very dismal. Microsoft’s Phil Spencer had claimed in the past that this could be due to the games designed for the Xbox One, where they might not necessarily be titles that appeal to Japanese gamers.

Also, the Xbox One was priced higher at launch compared to the PS4 that could have hindered its adoption. Hopefully Microsoft has learnt from their mistakes and applied themselves accordingly to the Xbox Series X, but we’ll have to wait and see. In the meantime, Sony is not expected to compete in price with the PS5, with the company hinting that it could be more expensive than its predecessor.

A Battlefield 3 Remaster Rumored To Be In Development

Last year, EA confirmed that for 2020, they will not be releasing a new Battlefield game. However, for those who have been hungering for some new Battlefield content, you could be in luck because according to the rumors, it seems that there could be a remastered version of Battlefield 3 in development.

This rumor comes from a YouTuber called Daqari who claims that the remastered version of Battlefield 3 might be in the works. As PCGamer points out, Daqari has in the past been known for accurately leaking Battlefield information, such as the existence of Battlefield 1 and Battlefield V, so there is a chance that this latest piece of information could hold some truth to it.

However, since there’s no way of confirming any of this to be true, it should be taken with a grain of salt for now. The video that the YouTuber had originally uploaded to their channel that talked about Battlefield 3’s remaster has since been deleted. We’re not sure if this is because they were wrong about their information and took it down, or if EA might have a hand in it.

Either way, this is pretty much all we know for now and we have no idea if such a game exists or if it will even be released this year, but we’ll definitely be keeping our eyes peeled for more information about the potential game.
