Samsung Could Have An 8TB SSD In The Works

These days, SSDs are becoming more common. While SSDs have been around for a while, they weren’t exactly widely-adopted due to the fact that they were incredibly expensive, although in recent years, prices have gone down by quite a bit. They’re still not necessarily cheap, but they are definitely more affordable than what they used to be.

That being said, if you’re looking to kit out your computer with a high-capacity SSD, Samsung might be the brand to look out for. This is because it seems that a listing on Amazon has been discovered for a Samsung QVO SSD with a whopping 8TB of storage. Yes, you read that right, 8TB of storage.

However, before you get too excited, there are certain things to note. For starters, its price comes in at $900 meaning it is definitely not cheap. Secondly, according to Tom’s Hardware, it will most likely be using Samsung’s QLC 3D V-NAND technology similar to the QVO 860 SSDs, meaning that they are focused more on storage rather than performance (although this does not mean that they will be slow).

The listing also suggests that the 8TB model will be available for order from the 24th of August onwards, but the 1TB model is currently listed as being available on the 30th of June.

Bang & Olufsen Is Working On Official Xbox Accessories

The problem with a lot of gaming gear is that they tend to look rather garish with bright RGB lights that apparently are appealing to gamers, or at least the gamer aesthetic. If you prefer something a bit more classy and understated, then you might be interested to learn that Bang & Olufsen are getting into the gaming market.

The company has teased on Twitter that they are working with Microsoft to develop official Xbox-related accessories. The company has yet to officially reveal what it is they are working on, but given the company’s audio background, it will most likely be speaker or headphones related.

According to Bang & Olufsen VP Christoffer Poulsen, “The technology has advanced significantly in gaming, and enhancing the sound experience offers a place for us to play a key role. By entering the gaming industry, we want to do what we do best: delivering outstanding sound performance wrapped in astonishing design and solid craftmanship. We see a big commercial potential within gaming, and in Xbox we believe we have found this ideal partner to realise that potential.”

That being said, Bang & Olufsen aren’t exactly known for creating affordable hardware, don’t be surprised if these official Xbox accessories end up costing you a pretty penny.

Naughty Dog’s Next Game Could Be The Last Of Us 3

Naughty Dog is expected to released The Last of Us 2 next week, and so the question is, what will be the company be up to next? Will we end up waiting a long time for the third installment in the franchise? Maybe not, at least that’s what the company’s VP Neil Druckmann seems to be hinting at.

In an interview with GQ, he was asked what could the studio could be working on next. Druckmann seems to be a bit undecided in his response, but he did hint that maybe the studio could be looking to begin work on The Last of Us 3, although this is by no means a guarantee that it will happen.

According to Druckmann, “As you start wrapping things up, creatively there are fewer and fewer responsibilities and my mind can’t help but think about the next thing. So, yeah, the next thing could be a Part III, the next thing could be some new IP.” That being said, it probably wouldn’t be surprising if they were to immediately work on a follow-up to Part 2.

This is because in case you haven’t heard, there is a The Last of Us series being developed for HBO, so it would make sense that Naughty Dog would want to build upon that momentum and try to bring more people into the game that have yet to play it.
