Man Collects $95 Million Jackpot Dressed Up As Darth Vader

Winning the jackpot is probably the dream of millions of people around the world, and while winning an obscene amount of money sounds like there are no drawbacks to it, there are. This is because usually lottery companies love to publicize the winners, and in turn this creates some problems.

For example, by publicly identifying and announcing the winner, it could lead to the winner being targeted to be robbed, having people call them to ask to borrow money, and so on. This is why over in Jamaica, a man going by the name W. Brown decided to deal with this by dressing up as Darth Vader when he went to collect his $95 million jackpot winnings.

Speaking to The Jamaica Gleaner was quoted as saying, “I want to decide what is the best thing to do before spending anything. I need to decide what my goals are, but I know I want to own a bus. Life has always been very rough. I come from a poor family, sometimes I couldn’t attend school because my parents didn’t have it, but I told myself that God will help me one day so I can help my family.”

Assistant Vice President Simone Clarke-Cooper, from Group Corporate Communications at Supreme Ventures Limited supported Brown’s decision to come in a disguise. “Unfortunately, Jamaica is not like other markets. In other markets, they don’t necessarily do it, but here I think they opt to do it to keep themselves safe. We are not going to tell them not to do that because their safety is of paramount importance to us as well.”

Microsoft Flight Simulator Will Come On 10 Discs

Thanks to the invention of storage mediums like the DVD and Blu-ray, larger games could be fit into less discs. For those who grew up playing on floppy disks and CDs, you might recall how certain games would require multiple disks or CDs for the game to be installed. It turns out that maybe that practice hasn’t quite died out yet.

It appears that over in Europe, the upcoming Microsoft Flight Simulator will be made available in physical format where it will be sold in a 10-DVD package. Not only that, but it will be a double-layer DVD in which gamers will need to go through all of them to install the game in full.

According to Aerosoft’s (the game’s publisher) Mathijs Kok, “Aerosoft will bring the two boxed versions of this venerable simulator to customers in Europe. Including 10 (!) double-layer DVDs and a printed manual in a spectacular box, it is an ideal way of entering the new age of flight simulation.”

While it seems rather excessive, it should be noted that Microsoft Flight Simulator will contain pretty much every aspect of the game which amounts to about 90GB of data. For those with slower internet connections, this might actually be ideal as it means that users will not have to download such a massive file and can pretty much play right out of the box.

The content will be identical to the digital version, but there will also be a box and manual included for those who care about these kinds of things.

Apple’s Upcoming iPad Air Pricing Might Be A Pleasant Surprise

Apple’s products over the years have mostly seen price increases with every release, or at the very least, it is kept the same. However, there is some potential good news on that front because according to a report from DigiTimes, it seems that Apple could be employing their iPhone SE strategy to an upcoming iPad Air tablet.

According to DigiTimes, “Sales prospects for the new 10.8-inch iPad devices are also bright as the new lineup, which feature high performance CPUs, will be available at more affordable prices, the sources indicated.” It is unclear how much cheaper the tablet will be, but right now the cheapest iPad you can get is the regular iPad model which is priced starting at $329.

As for the iPad Air, the base model with 64GB is priced starting at $399, so we’re not sure if this more affordable model will mean that it will be cheaper than the current iPad Air, or if it will be the cheapest iPad out of the entire iPad models. However, in either situation, it sounds like it will still be a pretty good value for money purchase, especially given the rumored larger display and upgraded hardware.

Apple has seen quite a bit of success in introducing more affordable products. The iPhone XR and its successor, the iPhone 11, have been dominating smartphone sales and have been selling more than its more expensive siblings, so there is an argument for it.
