Last week, OnePlus announced that their next smartphone, the OnePlus Nord, would be announced on the 21st of July in a special augmented reality event. While we have heard and seen various leaks in the past, it seems that the phone’s design and some of its specs have been revealed during an interview with YouTuber MKBHD.
During the interview, OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei revealed the design of the upcoming phone. Pei was showing off various prototypes that the company had been working on, and then also revealed the final design that they eventually chose. What’s interesting is that during the interview, Pei dropped some information about the process behind designing the phone.
With regards to the design, Pei actually revealed that the company had almost gone in a different direction, but they made some last minute changes which actually delayed the phone by an additional month. According to Pei, this was based on the data that they were seeing and they wanted to create a phone that people wanted.
He also revealed that the phone would be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G, so if you’re looking for a relatively affordable 5G smartphone, then the OnePlus Nord could be a phone to check out. In any case, the entire interview is rather illuminating and if you have about 20 minutes to spare, it is definitely worth a watch.

Razer has been putting out mechanical keyboards for quite a while now, and it looks like the company is back with its latest keyboard in the form of the Huntsman Mini, which is based on its Huntsman series of mechanical keyboards with the optical mechanical switches. However, as you can clearly see in the photo, this will come in a new form factor.
The Huntsman Mini utilizes the 60% form factor which means that it does away with the arrow keys, navigation keys, and the number pad. This is the smallest form factor we’ve seen from Razer, where previously the company’s smallest offering was probably the Razer BlackWidow Lite which was a TKL model (no number pad).
According to Razer, the decision to go to 60% was due to community feedback and demand for the smaller form factor, which takes up less room on your desk and puts your mouse closer to your keyboard for better ergonomics. The Huntsman Mini will continue using the optical switches, but it will be a newer generation that are supposed to sound better thanks to silicon inserts that the company claims improves on the sound and feel.
The switches are also factory lubed that will make them feel smoother during operation. The Huntsman Mini will be offered in both black and white variants, and unlike some of Razer’s older keyboards, will come with a detachable USB-C cable to make it easier to transport. The Huntsman Mini will be offered in a clicky version that is priced at $120 and will be available July 14, and the linear version which is priced at $130 and will be available in August.

Last year during WWDC 2019, Apple announced that for macOS, they would be doing away with iTunes. Instead, the company opted to split up various aspects of iTunes into its own dedicated apps, like a standalone app for Apple Music and so on. However, back then Apple suggested that Windows users might have to wait.
Now according to a report from Italian website, Aggiornamenti Lumia, they are alleging that a new app from Apple is coming to Windows soon. It is unclear what app this might be, but like we said, given the changes Apple made to iTunes last year, we wouldn’t be surprised if the company was getting ready to launch a similar experience on Windows computers as well.
The report is in line with what we had heard back in November 2019, where a job listing on LinkedIn hinted that Apple was looking to create new apps for Windows, so this new report kind of makes sense. However, given that the tweet does not actually mention what app will be launching, it is really anyone’s guess as to what it might be.

At the same time, given that Apple seems to be pushing its subscription services pretty hard, we imagine that they will want to try and convince more Windows users to subscribe to their services like Apple Music and Apple TV+. Either way, we’ll be keeping our eyes peeled so check back with us later for more updates.

Unlike most smartphone makers, OnePlus has more or less stopped desperately trying to stop leaks from happening. Instead, it has actually embraced that Internet culture and makes its own teasing, trading secrecy for hype. It has so far worked in its favor and it may have gotten even bolder. So bold that, just a week before its official debut, company … Continue reading
