All good things must come to an end, they say, and as far as the recent Pixel lineup is concerned, the Pixel 3a siblings may have been one Google’s better ones. Despite the less powerful specs, it was generally better received than the Pixel 3 and definitely more than the Pixel 4. Now, however, the smartphones have officially been discontinued, … Continue reading

Team17’s “Worms” is an extremely classic game that many gamers enjoyed back in the day. Now it looks like the game has since been reimagined in the popular battle royale genre and will be launching on both the PS4 and PS5 in late 2020 in the form of “Worms Rumbles”.
For those who are unfamiliar, Worms is a turn-based strategy game where players control a bunch of characters placed around a map. They then take turns firing at other players and using a variety of weapons to try and kill off the opponent’s characters. This is a similar concept to the QBasic Gorillas game that some of you might have played way, way back in the day.
In a way, Worms as a battle royale kind of makes sense given its original gameplay, although as a battle royale, it would definitely be moving at a much faster pace compared to the original. Also, with the popularity of battle royale games like Fortnite, we can’t say we’re surprised that Team17 is looking to get in on the action.
According to the developers, there will be support for cross-platform play, so players playing the game on other platforms should also be able to join in, although there was no mention of which other platforms the game would be launching on. There is no word specific release date yet save for “late 2020”, so in the meantime, you can check out the announcement trailer to get an idea of what you might be able to expect.

Many were hoping that Apple would use WWDC as an opportunity to announce new iMacs. That did not happen, but it does not mean that the company will not be updating its iMac lineup. In fact, according to a sighting on Geekbench, it appears that Apple is testing out an unannounced iMac.
Based on the listing on Geekbench, this iMac will come with an Intel Core i9-10910 processor that could be exclusive to Apple. Also, given that this is an i9 processor, this is probably one of the higher-end configurations that Apple could be offering to customers. It also suggests that this could be for the 27-inch model as Apple’s 21-inch iMacs currently do not offer an i9 option in terms of configuration.
The Geekbench listing also suggests that this particular model has been configured with 32GB of DDR4 RAM, and will also come with an AMD Radeon Pro 5300 GPU with 4GB of VRAM. Other than that, we’re not sure what else Apple might have changed in terms of hardware for the upcoming refresh.

Some of you might have heard that during WWDC 2020, Apple announced that they will be transitioning from Intel processors to ARM-based chipsets. The iMac is expected to be one of the first models with a rumored 24-inch iMac said to be in the works, but it seems that this does not appear to be it.

If the rumors are to be believed, Apple’s upcoming iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max could come with 120Hz displays. This is certainly pretty exciting if the rumors are true, but according to Ross Young of Display Supply Chain Consultants, he claims to have heard from his contacts that this is not true.
According to Young, he claims that his contacts have been unable to corroborate the rumors of a 120Hz display iPhone in 2021. Instead, Young says that this might happen for the 2021 iPhones and not the 2020 models. This contradicts claims made by several well-known leaksters, so it is unclear what we should believe at this point in time.
Logically, a 120Hz display iPhone makes a lot of sense. For starters, Apple had already introduced 120Hz displays to the iPad Pro several years ago, so it felt like it was only a matter of time before they introduced it to other products. Also, many other Android handset makers are introducing 120Hz displays to their phones, so it seems odd that Apple would want to sit this one out.

In any case, given that all of these are just rumors, they’re probably best taken with a grain of salt for now until Apple’s official announcement, which should be taking place later this year.
