Well, folks, Alamo is finally letting its customers view movies the way they’ve always dreamed: in a private theater with a hand-selected group of friends and family and without some snotty kid kicking your seat the whole time. The bad news is that we’re still very much in the middle of a global pandemic, and right…
Twitter is used by people all over the world, and as such, tweets can come in many different languages. Generally speaking, tweets made in a particular language are usually targeted towards people who speak that language, but at the same time, we’re sure that some of you might be curious as to what those tweets are saying.
Sure, you could put them through a translation tool like Google Translate, but it’s one extra step. The good news is that according to Twitter Brazil, they have revealed that the company is working on a translation tool that will translate tweets so that users will be able to get a translation of a tweet in another language without having to use external tools or services.
It also seems that it might not even be an option, meaning that if your Twitter language is set to English, all tweets made in another language will be automatically converted and translated into English when you see them. The feature is currently in testing over in Brazil, and while it sounds useful, it seems that some users aren’t thrilled by the automatic translations as they have been enabled by default.
We understand what they mean as there are a lot of subtleties and nuances in language that can be lost during the translation process. There are also certain words or expressions that might not necessarily make sense when translated, which could only serve to add confusion. However, this is a test and we imagine that Twitter will probably refine the feature over time.

It has been largely assumed that our smartphones are protected by the Fifth Amendment. This is why law enforcement agencies are frustrated with companies like Apple who have mostly refused to help them unlock the phones belonging to suspects. However, that could soon change as the New Jersey Supreme Court has potentially set a new precedent.
According to a recent ruling by the New Jersey Supreme Court, it appears that they have ruled that compelling a suspect to unlock their smartphone does not violate the Fifth Amendment. This is based on a case where the suspect was accused of secretly working with a street gang. When asked to unlock his phone, the suspect argued that doing so would violate his Fifth Amendment rights against self-incrimination.
However, the court rejected the argument and claimed that the Fifth Amendment only applied when the suspect is “compelled to make a testimonial communication that is incriminating”. The Fifth Amendment does not cover things like producing documents to be used as evidence in court, and the court has considered that the text and phone call contents on the suspect’s smartphone are documents.
Like we said, this will no doubt set a precedent for future cases where prosecutors could use this particular case as an example of why suspects can be compelled to unlock their smartphones.

Sony’s PS5 is expected to be released later this year, so the question is when will Microsoft’s Xbox Series X be launched? We safely assumed it would be this year as well, and sure enough Microsoft has confirmed that to be true as the company has announced that the Xbox Series X will be launching this November.
According to Microsoft, “There will be thousands of games to play, spanning four generations, when Xbox Series X launches globally this November and over 100 optimized for Xbox Series X titles, built to take full advantage of our most powerful console, are planned for this year.” The console previously had a timeframe set for the holiday season, which was admittedly vague, but now Microsoft has narrowed it down to November.
There is still no specific date set yet, so we’ll just have to wait and see. The announcement also comes on the heels of Microsoft announcing that the release for Halo Infinite has been delayed. The game was teased at E3 2018 and was planned for a 2020 release, but Microsoft has since chosen to delay the game to 2021.
Given that games do get delayed from time to time to help with additional polish and any issues that crop up, this doesn’t really come as a surprise, so gamers will have to remain patient for a bit longer.
