The GPU market has grown and advanced tremendously over the years, with every generation introducing new features and making them more powerful than ever. If you’re in the market for a brand new GPU, then you might want to take note of NVIDIA’s latest offerings which comes in the form of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 and the 3080 GPUs.
While it might look like another new model, it should be noted that the company’s latest GPUs are based on their new Ampere architecture. This is meant to introduce rather significant improvements around real-time ray tracing, and will also offer up to 10GB of GDDR6X VRAM. According to NVIDIA, they are claiming that the new 3080 will be twice as fast as the 2080, while the 3070 is actually faster than the 2070 Ti.
In case these GPUs aren’t powerful enough for your needs, NVIDIA also has something that might be right up your alley, although it will not come cheap. This comes in the form of the RTX 3090 designed for 8K content, which is widely expected to become the future standard in terms of resolution, so for those hoping to stay ahead of the curve, this could be for you.
The RTX 3070 will be priced starting at $499, while the RTX 3080 will go or $699, and if you have the cash to splash, the RTX 3090 will retail for a whopping $1,499.

When Samsung announced their Note 20 handsets, they also kind of announced their next foldable smartphone, the Galaxy Z Fold 2 which is the successor to the original Galaxy Fold. However, they stopped short of announcing a release date, but that mystery has since been cleared up.
Samsung has since confirmed that for those looking forward to the next-gen foldable, they’ll be able to get their hands on the Galaxy Z Fold 2 on the 18th of September. Unlike the first-gen model, the Galaxy Z Fold 2 will come with support for 5G, and will also sport a larger outer display for those who felt that the first one was a bit too small.
According to the specs, the Galaxy Z Fold 2 will feature a 6.2-inch front display and on the inside, a 7.6-inch display that brings us into tablet territory. It also sports a 120Hz refresh rate. In terms of performance, the handset has also been upgraded with a new Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+ chipset that is accompanied by 12GB of RAM, and will come in either 256GB or 512GB of storage.

There’s no denying that by providing developers a platform to sell and distribute their apps, that companies like Apple and Google deserve to maybe get a cut from their sales. However, there is the question of how much of a cut should they receive? Right now, the industry standard appears to be 30%, but it seems that some developers are feeling that it’s too much.
While this is a gripe that some companies have had with Apple for a while now, it only recently became a huge deal when Epic decided to publicly challenge Apple which has resulted in a legal battle. Now it looks like regulators around the world are starting to sit up and pay attention, like over in Russia where a lawmaker has submitted a draft legislation in which it has been proposed that the cut that companies like Apple and Google should take should be capped at 20%.
On top of that, the legislation would also require that app sellers like Apple and Google pay an additional third of their commission (essentially a 30% cut of the 20% that they would take) that would then go towards a special training fund for IT specialists. This would be done on a quarterly basis.
Whether or not this legislation will come to pass remains to be seen, and while some might argue that what Epic is doing is wrong, there is no doubt that with so much public scrutiny that it would be a miracle if Apple were to walk away from this completely unscathed.
