How many times did Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates meet with convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein before Epstein died in 2019? Just a few months after Epstein’s death, we learned about three meetings between Gates and Epstein from an article in the New York Times. But an explosive new report from the Daily Beast claims…
Earlier, it was reported that within the Apple Music Android app, there were references spotted to a potential lossless streaming option. This comes on the heels of an earlier report that suggested that Apple was working on a “HiFi” lossless streaming option for Apple Music, and now it looks like those rumors could be coming true.
In the Browse tab on the Apple Music app, it seems that Apple is hinting that something will be announced very soon. The teaser reads, “Get ready – music is about to change forever”. It is rather vague but given the rumors, it’s not hard to imagine that this could be a teaser for the upcoming lossless streaming option.
Apple has not confirmed when this new service will be launched, but as some of you might have heard, Apple has apparently scheduled an announcement for the 18th of May where not only will this new streaming option be announced, but it will also see the announcement of a couple of new products like the third-gen AirPods.
Right now it is unclear if this lossless streaming option will be a separate paid tier of Apple Music, or if it will be available to all users. Streaming services like Tidal offer different paid tiers for different quality streams, so there is a good chance Apple will end up doing the same, but either way check back with us on the 18th of May for the details.

Last year, there was an interesting rumor that suggested that Apple might kill off the Beats brand in favor of their own Apple-branded audio products. However, it was later suggested that maybe that would not be happening and that Apple and Beats audio products would exist side-by-side.
For those wondering about the future of the Beats brand, it seems that it is definitely here to stay. According to a new report from 9to5Mac, it seems that actually back in 2020, Apple hired a certain Scott Croyle where he oversaw Beats product design. Croyle had previously worked at HTC where he helped design phones like the HTC One M7 and M8, and also later worked on the Nextbit Robin smartphone that was ultimately acquired by Razer.
Croyle’s hiring is an interesting one because of his design background, plus if you recall, there was a point in time where HTC and Beats were working together. While we haven’t really seen anything new yet with Croyle’s touch on it, the report claims that the team has actually been studying various speakers from different brands as well as headphones, presumably to see what the competition is up to and how they can beat them.
It has been a while since we last saw a new major Beats product, so it would be nice to see something new, but when exactly that will take place is anyone’s guess.

When the iPhone 12 was launched, Apple introduced a new charging feature called MagSafe (different from the one used in Apple’s older MacBooks). This is a magnetic charging system that magnetically attaches a charging puck to the back of the iPhone. It sounds pretty cool and useful, but some have raised concerns that the magnets could affect implanted medical devices like pacemakers.
In fact, there was even a video uploaded by a doctor who suggested that it could interfere with pacemakers. For those who might be concerned, the FDA has since weighed in with their own assessment after an investigation in which they concluded that the iPhone 12’s MagSafe feature only poses “low risk” to medical implants.
According to Dr. Jeff Shuren, the director of the FDA’s Center for Devices and Radiological Health, “We believe the risk to patients is low and the agency is not aware of any adverse events associated with this issue at this time.” However, while he states the risk is low, he also advises that those with medically implanted devices should still be aware about the potential risks involved and maybe speak to their health care providers on how to best use these devices.
Apple themselves had previously posted their own support document where they advise users with medical implants to keep the iPhone at least 6-12 inches away from their implants.

COVID-19 countermeasures last year has seen a surge in purchases of consumer electronics and home entertainment products, from laptops to gaming console to large TVs. Not everyone, however, might have the luxury of a large living room or large area to set up such a TV or, perhaps, they value flexibility and portability just as much as picture quality. Fortunately, … Continue reading

We have been hearing rumors about Apple working on a new set of AirPods, but the question is when will it launch? According to the latest rumors, which comes in the form of a tweet by user Luke Miani, it seems that the device could be launching on the 18th of May alongside a rumored new Apple Music HiFi streaming option.
While we can’t say for sure if this is true, AppleTrack claims to have also heard privately that a new set of AirPods is coming soon, so whether or not it will be on the 18th of May remains to be seen. We have heard multiple rumors dating back to 2020 that the third-gen AirPods will launch in 2021, so while we can’t confirm the 18th of May date, it is plausible.

As for the Apple Music HiFi rumors, we actually heard about this potential service earlier in May which was further corroborated by an APK teardown of the Apple Music app for Android which hinted at a lossless streaming option. Apple Music’s current streaming quality is decent but not necessarily audiophile worthy, so the option for a lossless stream could convince more discerning users to hop on board the Apple Music bandwagon, but until we get the official word, don’t read too much into these reports for now.
