Apple Watch Series 3 Owners Need To Restore Their Devices Before Updating

One of the problems that Apple Watch Series 3 owners have been having is that whenever there is a new watchOS update, they are usually greeted with an error message claiming that their watch does not have enough space. Users usually find themselves having to reset their smartwatches in order to install updates.

However, a report from 9to5Mac has revealed that starting in iOS 14.6, it seems that Apple will now prompt users to restore their devices before updating. Prior to this, users would try to fix the problem by deleting apps to free up space, but for the most part this doesn’t work (speaking as an Apple Watch Series 3 owner myself). Usually a factory reset is necessary in order to update.

However, with iOS 14.6, Apple has decided to be more direct and now prompts users to restore their devices if they want to update their smartwatch. This seems to be unique to the Series 3, namely due to the fact that the GPS-only model comes with 8GB of storage, versus the newer models that come with more storage and don’t have this problem.

As 9to5Mac points out, this new prompt means that Apple won’t be trying to fix the problem and are simply pointing users towards a rather troublesome solution. If you don’t want to deal with this, then we guess maybe it’s time to consider an upgrade.

Check Out This Shrunken Down Mac Pro Concept

Apple is expected to eventually transition its entire Mac lineup to its Apple Silicon processors. Right now, we’ve seen this applied to the MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, Mac mini, and the iMac, which means that the only computer that’s left would be the Mac Pro. We have heard that Apple is working on a pretty powerful Apple Silicon for a future Mac Pro, but what about the design?

Thanks to the use of the SoC design, on paper it means that Apple could create a smaller Mac Pro. Designer Róbert Hallon over at Svetapple.sk has since thrown together concept renders that show what a smaller Mac Pro could look like. Based on the images, it seems that he took inspiration from the current Mac Pro’s design with the cheese grater holes and the handlebars.

Hallon also based the design off the rumors, such as the size in which leakster Jon Prosser had claimed that it would be roughly around the size of three Mac mini computers stacked on top of each other. Of course, we can’t be sure if this is the actual design Apple is going for or if they will be designing something completely new, so keep that in mind when you’re looking at the renders.

That being said, do not expect Apple to launch the new Mac Pros anytime soon. Last we heard, Apple is planning a launch for the Mac Pro in 2022, so there is still some time to go before we get to see what Apple has up their sleeves.

All iPhone 13 Models Could Feature Sensor Shift Camera Stabilization

One of the ways Apple differentiates its iPhone models would be through the camera. For example, when they first brought image stabilization technology to the iPhone, the higher-end models got optical image stabilization, while the lower-end models got digital stabilization. However, with the iPhone 13, Apple could make them all a little bit more equal.

According to a report from DigiTimes, they claim that all the iPhone 13 models will feature sensor shift image stabilization technology. Right now, this technology is only used in the iPhone 12 Pro Max, but if the report is true, all iPhone 13 models could end up benefiting from the inclusion of this tech.

In case you’re wondering what the difference is, sensor stabilization basically stabilizes the sensor of the camera. This is versus other forms of image stabilization where it’s built into the lens itself. For more traditional cameras, lens stabilization means if you were to swap out a different lens that does not have stabilization, you would miss out on that feature.

However, stabilizing the sensor means that regardless of the lens, all your images and videos will benefit from it. The iPhone 12 Pro Max was the first iPhone to use sensor shift stabilization, but it is also Apple’s most expensive iPhone to date, so hopefully this report is true so that would-be customers won’t need to break the bank to take advantage of the tech.
