Apple Watch Series 7 To Sport Thinner Bezels, Faster Processor

Based on the designs we’ve been seeing from Apple’s products in recent years, it is believed that the upcoming Apple Watch Series 7 is expected to adopt a similar design as well, which includes flat edges instead of the curved ones we’ve seen in current and previous models. Now according to a report from Bloomberg, more design details have emerged.

According to the report, it seems that the Series 7 is also expected to introduce even thinner bezels than before. We’re not sure if the thinner bezels means that we can look forward to a larger display, but according to Bloomberg’s report, the thinner borders will bring the display closer to the front cover of the watch.

Interestingly enough, the watch is also expected to be thicker overall, but apparently it won’t be thick enough for users to notice it. In addition to the thinner borders, the Apple Watch Series 7 is also expected to feature a faster processor and the use of an updated ultra-wideband functionality used in the AirTags.

Unfortunately, the report brings some bad news for the health features of the Apple Watch Series 7. Originally rumored to feature blood glucose monitoring, the new report claims that the tech isn’t quite ready for commercialization yet and that it might be a few more years before it becomes a reality.

Some M1 iMacs Are Shipping With Crooked Mountings

The iMac has been designed as an all-in-one desktop system, meaning that the computer and display itself are integrated with each other to create a seamless look. However, that might not be the case in real life for some M1 iMac customers. This is because it seems that for some of them, Apple has been shipping out units that come with crooked mountings.

This was initially reported in a video by iPhonedo who claims that when he received the M1 iMac, it was crooked. We’re not talking about a subtle crookedness, but one that was obvious enough to be noticed and confirmed by using a ruler. After the report, it seems that other people have started to share their experiences as well.

Even the folks at MacRumors have confirmed that they too have received a crooked iMac. The publication claims that they initially thought it was a desk problem, but after this video and some testing, it was found to be crooked. The big deal here is that because of the use of screws to hold the iMac’s display in place, it’s not very easy to fix. It’s not like a monitor mounted on a rotating arm that you can just easily rotate back into place.

The good news is that it seems that Apple is allowing users with crooked mounts to return and replace their computers even after the two week return window, so if you have noticed that problem with your M1 iMac, give Apple a call and see if they’ll take it back and give you a replacement.

Turtle Beach Launches A $350 Flight Simulator Controller

Microsoft’s Flight Simulator has one of the best visuals for a video game, and given that it’s meant to simulate the experience of flying around the world, it kind of has to have excellent graphics. However, if you felt that the experience could stand to be more immersive, then you’re in luck.

At E3 2021, Turtle Beach announced their plans to expand into the controller market. The company is known for their gaming audio accessories like headsets, but it seems that they want to expand into making gaming controllers and have since unveiled a new controller called the VelocityOne Flight.

As you can see in the video above, this is a controller designed specifically for flight games. It is designed to simulate the controls you might find in an airplane. According to Turtle Beach, they claim to have worked with pilots and aerospace engineers to design the accessory to make it as authentic as possible.

The end result is a controller that can allow for a 180-degree yoke, integrated rudder controls, programmable buttons, and a full-color display. As expected it won’t come cheap and will be priced at $350, but if you think that it’s worth the investment, head on over to Turtle Beach’s website for the details.
