There are several password managers in existence right now, but it seems that Google could be looking to build its own. This is according to the sighting of a newly added Chrome flag that suggests that Google could be looking to develop a unified password manager for Chrome based on Google Mobile Services.
This is according to the flag which claims that this will be a unified password manager that it “Uses Google Mobile Services to store and retrieve passwords. Warning: Highly experimental. May lead to loss of passwords and impact performance.” It’s interesting because at the moment, Chrome already comes with a built-in password manager of its own.
However, it seems that Google could be thinking of building something similar to Apple’s iCloud Keychain, where you don’t necessarily need to use Chrome in order to access your passwords and that you can use it on any app that you want. It’s actually a good feature to have, especially if you’re wary about third-party password management services and want someone like Google to manage it for you.
Also, it might be ideal for those who have bought into Google’s ecosystem and use Google’s software like Chrome and Android. We have no idea when this password manager tool will launch, but right now given its experimental nature, it’s hard to say.

OnePlus started out as a company releasing budget phones, but over the years as they started wading into more flagship territory, their prices started to rise as well. If you don’t necessarily need to have the latest and greatest smartphone, then you might be interested to learn that OnePlus is revisiting its budget roots with the recently announced OnePlus Nord CE 5G.
This is the successor to the Nord handset that launched last year and despite its somewhat affordable price tag, the phone packs some pretty decent specs. We’re looking at features like a 6.43-inch AMOLED 90Hz refresh rate with a 2400×1080 resolution. There is also a Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G under the hood with support for 5G, 8GB/12GB RAM configurations, up to 256GB of storage, and a triple camera setup on that back that consists of a 64MP main shooter, an 8MP ultra wide, and a 2MP monochrome.
The phone also comes with a 4,500mAh battery with Warp Charge 30T Plus support, a fingerprint scanner, and interestingly enough, OnePlus has brought back the 3.5mm headphone jack for those who prefer using wired headphones. In terms of price, the phone is priced starting at £299, which isn’t necessarily the cheapest phone we’ve seen, but it is still a good deal considering its hardware and features.

As many of you have heard by now, not too long ago Google released the beta for Android 12 where for those who might be interested, it is available for download, although maybe not to be used as your daily driver. We know that some people love to join betas to get an early look at what’s to come, but it seems that Android 12 has piqued the interest of many.
This is according to Davey Burke, VP of Engineering for Android at Google, where he claims that the beta for Android 12 is the most downloaded and installed beta in Android history. Given how many millions upon millions of people use Android, this is actually rather impressive that many people are interested in the beta, which hopefully bodes well for adoption upon its final release.
Android 12’s beta is by far our most downloaded/installed beta ever. Speaking of which, Beta 2 is available today: https://t.co/VR8CtXKWkZ

We can’t say for sure what it is about Android 12 that has managed to attract more users than before. Sure, it comes with changes to the design language, which Google is calling Material You. There are also a bunch of new features as expected of a major update. Either way, it’s an awesome milestone for Google to reach and hopefully we continue to see major breakthroughs like this in the future.
In the meantime, Burke has also pointed out that beta 2 is now available for download so if you don’t want to wait for Android’s 12 final release, then download beta 2 to get a sneak peek at some of the changes you can look forward to in the future.
