It’s no longer a secret that Samsung’s next big event will shine the spotlight on its foldable phones, especially since it officially revealed the theme for Unpacked 2021 next month. There will be other products to be announced there as well, like Samsung’s first Wear OS smartwatch, but the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 will undoubtedly … Continue reading
Beaches are fun places to go to, but it only takes a few bad apples to ruin the experience for everyone. By that we mean litterbugs, people who don’t think about other people and just dump their trash on the beach. This includes empty bottles, cans, food wrappings, actual food, cigarette buds, and more.
Sure, there are people who do help clean the beaches, but obviously it would be better if we could just pick up after ourselves. That being said, thanks to technology, we may no longer have to. This is thanks to the work of two Dutch entrepreneurs who have put together a little robot called .BB which can go around a beach and help pick up litter.
The robot uses AI that helps it identify trash, but it also comes with a camera that helps it tag photos of objects it might not recognize and asks the public to tell it whether or not it is litter. This will help to train the robot’s AI to become better and more efficient when it comes to collecting litter.
Obviously it would still be ideal if people could just pick up after themselves, but the use of robots could make beach cleanups more efficient, where it could go around at night or throughout the day to help keep things clean, plus since robots do not tire, at least not in the same way humans do, it could work for longer hours.

Apple naturally wants its fans and customers to buy Macs running on its own M1 Silicon, but it also knows it can’t really push them to do so. “Planned obsolescence” is already a dirty word in the consumer electronics market, and it has been thrown at Apple a number of times already. It is, however, unavoidable that some software features … Continue reading
The last time Apple updated the iPad Air series, they gave it a look that was more in line with the iPad Pro. Now it seems that not only will it share a similar design externally, but it could be getting some upgrades that would make it more Pro-like, or at least that’s what a new report from Macotakara is claiming.
According to the report, they claim that the next iPad Air refresh is expected to borrow some features from the 11-inch iPad Pro. This is expected to include an upgrade to the camera system where the new iPad Air could sport a dual lens design. Under the hood, the new iPad Air is also rumored to be using the A15 chipset which will most likely debut in the 2021 iPhones.
There is also mention of 5G as one of the cellular connectivity options. The report also notes that LiDAR may or may not be a feature in the tablet. Apple debuted LiDAR in the 2020 iPad Pro and the newer iPhone 12 models, but we haven’t seen it used in other devices just yet, so maybe the iPad Air refresh could be next.
Take it with a grain of salt for now, but Apple is expected to introduce new iPad refreshes later this year. We have been hearing rumors of a refreshed iPad mini so it is possible that a new iPad Air could debut alongside it.

Samsung has recently confirmed that on the 11th of August, they will be hosting an Unpacked event where it will most likely see the company launch new foldables. For those who are hoping to see a new Galaxy Note handset, that will not be happening as Samsung has once again confirmed that there will be no new Note handset this year.
According to Samsung Electronics’ President & Head of Mobile Communications Business, Dr. TM Roh, “We are out to set new heights and open up a whole new world of exciting experiences for even more people. I hope you’ll join us as we debut our next Galaxy Z family and share some foldable surprises — including the first-ever S Pen designed specifically for foldable phones. Instead of unveiling a new Galaxy Note this time around, we will further broaden beloved Note features to more Samsung Galaxy devices.”
It should be pointed out that prior to this, Samsung did state that they will be skipping the Note series this year due to chip shortages. This was preceded by rumors that Samsung may be killing off the Note lineup, which was only fueled by the fact that Samsung finally gave its Galaxy S-series S Pen support, something that was previously exclusive to the Note series as far as Samsung smartphones were concerned.

Although Android tablets still do exist, their numbers have dwindled considerably, especially those coming from notable manufacturers. Samsung remains the torchbearer for these slates, launching tablets across all tiers year after year. Next year won’t be any different, and the rumors about the Galaxy Tab S8 trio sound pretty promising. Unfortunately, those also bring one disappointing rumor for those hoping … Continue reading

After countless leaks and an official teaser or two, ZTE has finally taken the covers off the world’s second under-display camera smartphone. After the disappointing reality of its first UDC smartphone, it would be understandable if consumers held off on the Axon 30 5G UDC until the reviews come in. At least on paper, however, the phone might have enough … Continue reading
