Latest iCloud For Windows Update Introduces A Password Manager

We imagine that there are probably many iPhone users out there who are also Windows users when it comes to computers. This poses a slight problem because if you store most of your passwords using Apple’s iCloud Keychain, it will be difficult to access it on a Windows computer, but not anymore.

Apple has recently updated its iCloud for Windows application where in the latest update, it will bring iCloud Keychain to Windows. What this means is that if you need to access your passwords to your online accounts or just in general, you will be able to pull up that information in Windows itself, instead of having to reach for your phone.

This lets view, add, edit, copy, and paste their passwords and manage it from the application. There are also new iCloud extensions for Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome, so if you need a quick way to log into websites, you’ll be able to do so using either browser. Unfortunately, there doesn’t seem to be an extension for Firefox, so Firefox users will have to use a different password manager.

You will need to make sure that your iCloud for Windows is updated to version 12.5 if you want to take advantage of this feature, so go ahead and download it from the Microsoft Store for the latest update.

YouTube Testing Out Instant Translation For Comments

While some videos in another language might come with subtitles, it can sometimes be hard to gauge how other people feel about the video if you don’t understand the language they’re using in the comments section. Sure, you could always copy and paste it into Google Translate, but kind of tedious.

However, according to a report from Android Police, it seems that YouTube is testing out a new instant translation feature for the comments section. Unfortunately, this seems to be a feature that might only be available to YouTube Premium subscribers as the test is only for those who are subscribed to the service.

What this feature does is that it puts a “Translate” button beneath comments that aren’t written in your primary language, and when you tap on it it will translate, and users can tap on the “See original” button to translate it back to the original text. This will be useful if you’re trying to gain more insight into the video you’re watching by looking at the comments.

We’re not sure if this is going to be a Premium-only feature in the future, or if YouTube is just testing it out with Premium subscribers, but either way we’ll have to wait and see, although it is rather useful and we wouldn’t mind seeing it released to the masses.

ASUS ROG Phone 5s, 5s Pro Launched

While Razer might have kind of kicked off the whole gaming smartphone trend, we have to say that ASUS seems to be the one carrying the torch these days. In fact, the company has launched their latest set of gaming phones in the form of the ASUS ROG Phone 5s and the 5s Pro.

Externally, these phones share a lot of similarities with the ASUS ROG Phone 5, but under the hood is where most of the changes have been made. Both phones will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+ chipset, with the ROG Phone 5s packing 16GB of RAM, while the 5s Pro will come with a whopping 18GB of RAM.

Both displays will remain the same at 6.78-inches and will use AMOLED technology, along with a variable 144Hz refresh rate (meaning it doesn’t stay at 144Hz all the time). ASUS claims that they did make some improvements to the touch sampling rate and pushed it up to 360Hz, but whether or not you can tell the difference remains to be seen, but it should improve overall responsiveness.

As for the cameras, the phones will pack a 64MP Sony IMX686 main sensor on the back, and will pair it with a 13MP ultra-wide camera and a 5MP macro sensor, and there will also be a 24MP front-facing shooter. ASUS notes that the ROG Phone 5s and 5s Pro will support the same accessories as the ROG Phone 5, so if you’re thinking of upgrading, you won’t be wasting your accessories.

In terms of price, the ASUS ROG Phone 5s will be priced starting at around $1,077, while the Pro version will go for around $1,365.
