A Remastered Grand Theft Auto Trilogy Could Be In The Works

With the success that GTA 5 had, many gamers are eagerly looking forward to what GTA 6 could bring to the table. Unfortunately, we have no idea when the game will launch (recent rumors are saying 2026), and in the meantime, it seems that Rockstar is content with just milking its older titles.

According to a report from Kotaku, if you were hoping for a new GTA game, prepare to be disappointed. Instead, the report claims that Rockstar is apparently working on remastering a trio of GTA titles. This includes Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto Vice City, and Grand Theft Auto San Andreas.

The games are said to be remastered using the Unreal Engine and will feature both new and old graphics. Kotaku’s source who saw a snippet of the remastered games said that it reminded them of a classic GTA title that had been heavily modded. Rockstar is also apparently aiming for an October or November release.

The game is also said to be launching on multiple platforms which include the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, as well as PC, Stadia, and even mobile. The timing is interesting because Rockstar did previously confirm that they will be bringing GTA 5 onto the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles in November, so we’re not sure if having a bunch of GTA titles launching at once is such a good idea.

Redesigned Circuit Board Could Give The iPhone 13 Bigger Batteries

The iPhone 12’s battery was kind of disappointing when you look at its predecessor, the iPhone 11. However, Apple is said to be making things right with the iPhone 13 where according to the rumors, it will come with a larger battery. While that remains to be seen, a new report suggests that an internal redesign is what could allow Apple to fit in larger batteries.

This report comes from Taiwanese research firm TrendForce who claims that one of the internal changes we might be able to expect is a redesign of the charging circuit board.

According to the report, “The iPhone 13 will see a shift in its charging circuit board from the previous rigid-flex PCB design to a new design featuring SiP combined with flexible PCB. The space-saving feature of this new design will also likely result in increased battery capacity.”

While we can’t corroborate those claims, we can only help but hope that they are true. At this point in time, it is unclear how much bigger of a battery we are talking about. However, it should be noted that the iPhone 13 is also rumored to come with a 120Hz display, so any potential battery gains could be offset by the newer displays.

The report also goes on to claim that Apple is expected to maintain the same pricing as the iPhone 12, so if you were worried about a price hike, you might be in luck, although since it is still a rumor/prediction, maybe don’t give it too much credence just yet.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 Will Be Available On Google Fi

The new Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 is one of the more affordable foldable phones we’ve seen. At a price of $999, it’s not too bad. Sure, it’s not what many would call cheap or affordable, but when you consider the price of other foldables, it’s decent. However, if you’re looking to save more money, then you’re in luck.

This is because the G galaxy Z Flip 3 will actually be the first foldable phone to be made available via Google Fi. Why is this good news? This is because if you were to buy the phone through Google Fi, you could be eligible to get a $400 Fi bill credit to your account. This is a lot of money and it is essentially almost half the value of the phone itself.

Sure, you’d still need to pay the full price of the phone, but now you’ll save as much as $400 that you would have needed to spend anyway. Also, Samsung is giving customers a $150 credit in their store, so that’s an extra $150 that you can save and use towards accessories like cases, chargers, and so on.

Unfortunately, the more expensive Galaxy Z Fold 3 isn’t part of this Google Fi deal so if that’s what you had your eye on, you’re out of luck. For those who are keen on this, then head on over to the Google Fi website for the details and to check if you’re eligible for all these bonuses.

Amazon Might Monitor Employees’ Keystrokes To Protect Customer Data

When you run a company, you can’t always trust that your employees will do everything they’re supposed to do. More often than not, employees do things they’re not supposed to do, whether it be more simple kinds of things like taking extended breaks, stealing company stationary, to more serious offenses like looking into databases they’re not supposed to.

It can be hard to keep track of what your employees are doing, but it’s not stopping Amazon from trying. According to a report from Motherboard, they have gotten their hands on an internal Amazon document that apparently reveals that the company is planning some kind of monitoring system for customer service employees.

This monitoring system will be used to look at the keystrokes and mouse clicks that an employee makes during the course of their work. The idea is that by monitoring these activities, they might be able to be more proactive when it comes to detecting if an employee is trying to access or steal Amazon customer data.

Amazon does have a cause for concern because according to the document, they have found four instances where customer data was accessed when it shouldn’t. There is also concern for imposters, where an example scenario was laid out where a customer service employee working from home walks away from their computer, and a friend or roommate then tries to access the database from their computer.

The document also highlights some of the possible legal issues that might come from collecting such data, and as a result, they have opted to use software from BehavioSec that would collect anonymous keyboard data.

In a statement made to Motherboard, Barbara Agrait, a senior PR manager at Amazon said, “Maintaining the security and privacy of customer and employee data is among our highest priorities. While we do not share details on the technologies we use, we continually explore and test new ways to safeguard customer-related data while also respecting the privacy of our employees. And we do this while also remaining compliant with applicable privacy laws and regulations.”
