Pixel 6 Live Translate will combine Google’s best translation features

Although Google serves many users on many platforms, it often shows preferential treatment to Pixel phone owners. Some of those exclusive features eventually find their way to other Android phones, but the best of the best remains a highlight for Google’s own phones. One such feature might be Live Translate that’s going to be exclusive to the Pixel 6 and … Continue reading

Galaxy S22+ specs leak almost reveals the entire confusing picture

With no “normal” flagship scheduled for the rest of the year, Samsung fans might be looking forward to next year’s Galaxy S22 for their next upgrade. Samsung has traditionally been offering three Galaxy S models every year, and next year won’t be so different. What might be different, however, is how Samsung will spin the Galaxy S22 because, as far … Continue reading

OnePlus Confirms They Will Not Be Releasing A OnePlus 9T This Year

For a while now, OnePlus has been releasing two flagship phones a year. One will be a regular numbered version, like the OnePlus 9 from earlier this year, and the other will be a “T version, like the OnePlus 9T that many expected the company would launch later this year, but that will no longer be happening.

According to an interview with OnePlus CEO Pete Lau, he confirmed that the company will not be launching a “T” series handset this year. This would effectively make it the first time in several years that the company has skipped on a T-series handset, where the first model was actually the OnePlus 3T from 2016.

Lau does not mention why OnePlus will be skipping out on the “T” series this year, but it is a bit disappointing for those who have been looking forward to upgrading their handsets. This means that if you wanted a new OnePlus phone that isn’t the OnePlus 9, then you probably have to wait until 2022 where we will see the OnePlus 10, or whatever the company plans on calling it.

That being said, we have to wonder what this means for the rumored OnePlus 9 RT, but until we hear otherwise, it’s probably safe to assume that this phone will not be happening either.

Google Pixel 6 Spotted At The FCC, Launch Could Be Imminent

Google has been steadily teasing their upcoming phone, the Pixel 6, although they have never officially confirmed when the phone would be launching. However, it looks like we could be inching closer towards an official launch because the Pixel 6 and its various models and variants have been spotted at the FCC.

According to the listings, it has revealed the devices in question feature connectivity options such as mmWave 5G and WiFi 6E, while others have sub-6GHz 5G and also WiFi 6E. While none of them explicitly mentions the Pixel 6 name, it’s probably safe to assume that these are the phones, unless Google has other 5G devices up their sleeves that we haven’t heard about.

Many are rightfully anticipating the upcoming Pixel 6 handsets. This is because they will be launching with Google’s own custom chipset, a first for the company after years of mostly relying on Qualcomm for chipsets for their Nexus and older Pixel handsets.

However, some of that excitement might have been dampened when benchmarks were spotted online for Google’s Tensor chipset which showed a less than impressive performance. It is possible that the chipset hasn’t been fully optimized yet so hopefully Google will have better and more impressive numbers to share in the near future when the phone is launched.

Google Could Be Working On Two Foldable Pixel Phones

For a while, it has been rumored that Google could be working on a foldable Pixel phone. The handset in question has the codename “Passport”, which as the name suggests could be similar to other foldables like the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 which opens and closes like a book, but it turns out that Google could have another foldable in the works.

This is according to a report from 9to5Google in which according to references made in Android 12.1, there is mention of yet another foldable codenamed “Jumbojack”. The publication notes that this is not the first time that Google has used that codename, and that previous documentation that they had spotted corroborates the use of that name.

However, back then it was suggested that Jumbojack was a tester device, but since Google refers to this as the Pixel, the commercial branding used for Google’s products, it has been speculated that this might actually be a second foldable Pixel handset that the company plans to launch.

What’s interesting is that this handset is also said to possibly be similar in design to the Galaxy Z Fold, where it will have a folding display that opens and shuts like a book. Google hasn’t officially confirmed their plans for a foldable Pixel handset yet, but last we heard, the company apparently still has plans to launch such a device (or devices?) by the end of 2021.

Galaxy Z Fold 3 drop tests prove Samsung’s boast again

It has been about a month since the Galaxy Z Fold 3 first landed in consumers’ hands. The jury is already out, and Samsung’s latest and greatest foldable has had mixed but mostly positive reviews. It Looks Like Amazon Has New Kindles In The Works

When you compare the features of a tablet next to an e-reader, it feels like a tablet would obviously come out on top. It can do so much more than an e-reader, but yet e-readers continue to exist and they are pretty popular too. This is because generally speaking, they offer longer battery life and are more comfortable on the eyes when it comes to e-books.

If you’re looking for a new e-reader to read your e-books on, then you might be interested to learn that Amazon could have a bunch of new Kindles in the works. This is according to a report from Good eReader who discovered that Amazon had accidentally revealed a couple of new Kindle Paperwhite devices that they have yet to announce.

This includes a regular version and also a Signature Edition. From what we can tell, both devices will have the same 6.8-inch display, but the SIgnature Edition will come with 32GB of storage versus the 8GB in the normal version, and will also have features like auto-adjusting light sensors as well as support for wireless charging.

Assuming the listing is accurate, the new Kindle Paperwhite will be priced at $150, while the Signature Edition will retail for $210. There is currently no word on when the e-readers will be announced, but given their listing, we expect an official launch shouldn’t be too far off.
