Turn the clock back about ten years ago, IKEA might be known as a furniture maker for creating affordable and stylish furniture. However, over the years, the company has adapted to modern times and started to create smart furniture and accessories like lights and window shades that can be remotely controlled.
They also got into gaming by teaming up with companies like ASUS to make gaming-related furniture. If this is something that is of interest to you, you’ll be pleased to learn that IKEA has since announced that come October, their gaming furniture and accessories are set for a global launch.
According to Ewa Rychert, Global Business Leader of Workspace, IKEA of Sweden, “We believe there’s a lot to be done to democratise the gaming experience. Now we take the first step on our gaming journey, and we do it by presenting affordable, high-performing gaming products and complete solutions that we hope reflect people’s personality and taste.”
The lineup will consist of six product families – UPPSPEL, LÅNESPELARE, MATCHSPEL, GRUPPSPEL, UTESPELARE, HUVUDSPELARE. These are essentially things like cup holders, mouse bungees, desks, chairs, and a cool wooden hand that will hold your headphones.
Prior to this announcement, some of these products were only available in select regions, so it’s nice to see that IKEA will be making them available to more gamers around the world.

The Samsung Galaxy S22 Could Be Samsung’s Smallest Flagship In Recent Years
Posted in: Today's ChiliPhone displays these days are getting larger than ever. For the most part we haven’t encroached upon tablet territory yet, but with handsets like the iPhone 13 Pro Max having a 6.7-inch display, we are getting very close. However, for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S22, Samsung might actually be downsizing their handset.
According to a tweet by Ice Universe, it seems that with the Galaxy S22 (the base model), Samsung will apparently be reducing the display size down to about 6.06-inches, which overall will make it slightly smaller than handsets like the iPhone 13.
6.06

To give you some context, the Galaxy S21 that launched this year came with a 6.1-inch display, while the 2019 Galaxy S20 had a 6.2-inch display, so it actually feels like Samsung has actually been quietly reducing the display over the years. That being said, 6.1-inches to 6.06-inches isn’t exactly a huge jump, but shrinking the bezels could make it more obvious.
Now, there are some who do prefer large screens, but there are some who miss having a phone that they can use with just one hand, so clearly this is designed for those in the latter camp. Needless to say since this is not official information, you should take it with a grain of salt, but we have to wonder if the display shrinkage is just for this model or if it will be applied across the Galaxy S22 lineup.

At almost all of Apple’s media events, the company loves touting how green they are as a company. This applies to the materials they use to build their products, how their operations are powered, and last year, they famously tried to convince everyone that they were saving the environment by not including chargers with their iPhones.
That being said, for 2021’s iPhone 13, Apple revealed that they would be further trying to reduce their environmental impact by redesigning the packaging of the iPhone. This would see them eliminate the outer plastic wrap on the box, which led to many wondering how will Apple secure the phone then? Wouldn’t it just fall out?

In a photo shared on Twitter by DuanRui, we now have a better idea of how Apple will handle the iPhone 13’s packaging. Now instead of a plastic wrapping the entire box, Apple has opted to use a sticker strip that secures the box until it is ready to be opened. The problem with this design is that it could potentially damage the box as it is exposed.
Some of you might not necessarily care about the box, but there are some who do. However, if this is really for the greater good of the environment, we guess we can’t really complain, but what do you think?
