Apple Watch Series 7 has a 60.5GHz wireless data feature you can’t use

Apple’s newest wearable may have come as a disappointment for Apple fans last week. Of course, the latest Apple Watch will still be … Continue reading

'Disco Elysium: The Final Cut' hits Nintendo Switch on October 12th

Disco Elysium finally has a launch date for the Nintendo Switch over a year after its developer ZA/UM confirmed that it’s heading to the console. The Final Cut version of the critically acclaimed title will be available from the Nintendo eShop on October 12th, with a physical release to follow next year. ZA/UM says the version heading to Switch isn’t a port, but rather a “painstaking reassembly” of the game, with its redesigned user interface and font-scaling options.

The Final Cut version of the the game first became available for PCs, Stadia and PlayStation earlier this year. It doesn’t just come with fresh playable content, but also full voice acting for the detective RPG. The hit indie open-world RPG is plot-heavy and features gameplay mechanics that focuses on dialogue and your choices. In the game, you’ll take on the role of a detective trying to solve a murder case while suffering from drug and alcohol-induced amnesia.

Disco Elysium was originally released for Windows in 2019 and has won multiple awards since then. Last year, ZA/UM and production house Dj2 Entertainment revealed that they’re working to turn it into a TV series, though those plans will most likely take a while to solidify. For now, you can pre-order a digital copy of the game for Switch for £35 / US$40 / €40. You can also pre-order a physical collector’s edition shipping in the second quarter of 2022 for the Switch or the PS5 for $250. The game is also expected to be available on the Xbox in the future, but ZA/UM has yet to announce a release date for platform.

iPhone 13 Pro Won’t Be A Perfect Fit For The MagSafe Duo

When the iPhone 12 was introduced along with its new MagSafe charging system, Apple launched the MagSafe Duo which is basically a charging pad that charges both the iPhone and Apple Watch at the same time. However, it turns out that maybe Apple needs to make a new model for the iPhone 13 series.

This is because according to a report from La Manzana Mordida, one of their readers order an iPhone 13 Pro along with the official leather case from Apple, but it was then discovered that the iPhone 13 Pro with its case does not sit flush on the MagSafe Duo, where the upper half is actually raised ever so slightly.

This is because of the larger camera bump which prevents the phone from sitting flat against the charger. Now the good news is that according to a quick test by MKBHD (see video above), it will work. While the phone does not fit perfectly, it will still activate MagSafe and will charge your phone, although we’re not sure if the lack of full contact could have any effect on charging speeds.

That being said, Apple did file a revised version of the MagSafe Duo with the FCC a few weeks ago, but the revised version was not launched alongside the new iPhones. Perhaps it could be coming at a later date, so for those who plan on getting the MagSafe Duo for their iPhone 13 models, either wait for an updated version or be careful when choosing which case to use with the handset.
