You Can Order Razer’s Zephyr RGB Facemask

Earlier this year, Razer showed off a facemask codenamed Project Hazel, later known as the Zephyr. Given that COVID-19 is expected to be treated as an endemic and something we have to live with for the foreseeable future, wearing a mask might be a good way to protect yourself and your loved ones from getting sick.

The company later launched a beta program for the mask and for those who are keen on getting their hands on it, it looks like you’ll be able to order one for yourself soon. The Zephyr will be priced at $99.99, which is admittedly cheaper than we expected, and will come with three N95 grade filters that are expected to last 9 days.

Alternatively, you can get the bundle with 33 sets of filters for $149.99, and after that if you need new filters, Razer will be selling them in packs of 10 where they’ll sell for $29.99 each.

The Zephyr has been designed to be a reusable mask and features the use of a clear, transparent design so people can see you talking. It also features the use of an adjustable strap placed on the head and neck to ensure it won’t fall or slip off, and there is also built-in Chrome RGB lighting if you’re feeling a little extra.

It has a bit of an outlandish design that will undoubtedly draw attention to yourself, but if you don’t really care about that, then perhaps this could be a mask worth checking out.

Official Trailer For Uncharted Movie Released

The Uncharted movie has been in the works for quite a long time, with many directors attached to it over the years. For those who have been eagerly anticipating the release of the movie and are wondering what it will look like, then you might want to check out the video above which is the official trailer for the upcoming movie.

The Uncharted movie stars Tom Holland as Nathan Drake, the protagonist of the movie and the games, albeit a younger version. It will also star Mark Wahlberg as Sully, Sophia Ali as Chloe Frazer, Tati Gabrielle as Braddock, and Antonio Banderas who will be the movie’s main villain.

We have to say that at least based on the trailer of the movie, it looks pretty good. There is plenty of action and treasure hunting scenes in the movie, which we suppose is pretty much the entire premise of the game anyway. We’re sure that diehard fans of the game might have some concerns about the accuracy of the portrayal of the characters and story, but like we said, the trailer certainly looks promising.

The movie is currently slated for a release on the 18th of February, 2022, which honestly isn’t too far off, and will be an exclusive in cinemas, so don’t expect to see it on any streaming service anytime soon.

M1 Max MacBook Pro Will Have A ‘High Power’ Mode

So based on what we know about Apple’s new MacBook Pros so far, on paper, the M1 Max chipset will be quite a beast in terms of CPU and GPU performance. Given that we’ve seen and heard many reviews of people using the current M1s for work like video editing and processing, we imagine that the M1 Pro and M1 Max chipsets will be capable of doing an even better job.

However, in case you need that extra boost of power, you might be interested to hear that Apple is actually introducing a High Power Mode specifically for the M1 Max 16-inch MacBook Pro.

If this sounds familiar, it is because not too long ago, there were references found in the macOS Monterey beta for a High Power Mode, and now MacRumors has confirmed with Apple that the feature does exist.

Basically what this does is that it will allow your MacBook Pro to work at a higher intensity for sustained workloads, so if you need the chipset to work overtime, maybe for rendering purposes, then having High Power Mode enabled will help with that process.

This is actually the opposite to Apple’s Low Power Mode that basically decreases the performance of the M1 chipset to preserve battery life. Keep in mind that this is only for the 16-inch MacBook Pro that uses the M1 Max chipset, and that the 14-inch model and other configurations that use the M1 Pro will not have this feature.

Google Meet moderation gets easier with audio mute locks

Back at the start of the year, Google gave Meet hosts the ability to mute everyone in a call all at once. Now, the company has a solution for situations that require more nuance and control. It’s introducing an audio and video lock feature that allows hosts to turn off the microphones and cameras of select participants, in which case they can’t turn them back on until they’re allowed to do so again.

Anyone using a version of Meet on Android or iOS that does not support audio and video locks will be removed from the call if the host enables the feature. If they try to join one such call, they’ll also be prompted to update their app. Google has begun rolling out the tool to rapid release domains today. Scheduled release domains will start getting access to it beginning on November 1st. The locks should be particularly useful for corraling rowdy participants, but some hosts may also find it helpful for encouraging specific individuals to participate more often.
