iPhone SE With Larger Display Reportedly Delayed To 2024

There have been rumors that Apple is working on an iPhone SE model with a larger display. Unfortunately, for those who have been anticipating the handset, it appears that the larger iPhone SE has been delayed on Apple’s roadmap and will reportedly be launching in 2024.

This is according to a tweet by Ross Young of DCSS who claims that the iPhone SE with the larger display, which he thinks will be between 5.7-inches to 6.1-inches, will only be coming in 2024. What’s interesting is how Young also claims that the phone will continue to use LCD for its choice of display technology, despite it being a phone in 2024.

However, we had previously said, LCD is cheaper to produce compared to OLED so that could be a reason why Apple is keeping the display to keep prices low, but in 2024 we imagine that most phones would have switched over to OLED so if this claim is accurate, we have to say it is a bit disappointing.

Also, what’s a bit odd is that Young had also said that 2022’s iPhone SE will be called the iPhone SE Plus. This is despite the fact that he claims that the iPhone SE 2022 model will continue to use the same 4.7-inch LCD as the 2020 model, so we’re not sure what is so “Plus” about it.

Apple Watch Pro Name Discovered In 2015 Apple Watch Demo Files

When Apple first launched the Apple Watch, they tried to make different versions of it including the $10,000 gold Apple Watch Edition. However, over the years the company scaled back on that and now we only have the Apple Watch, although users can still choose between different materials for the case.

That being said, could Apple be working on a “Pro” model? According to a tweet by Apple Demo, they discovered within the contents of the 2015 Apple Watch demo, there is an image of a logo for the “Apple Watch Pro”, which has since led to a fair bit of speculation as to what this could mean.

Given that this was discovered in 2015 demo files, more than likely this could be a name for a variant of the Apple Watch that Apple either did not release or simply chose not to use. However, at the same time Apple has started to add the “Pro” moniker to its product names in recent times.

For example, we have the iPad Pro, iPhone Pro, and the AirPods Pro, so why not the Apple Watch Pro, right? Either way, we reckon that it’s probably the first reason, which is that this is a name Apple was toying with and never got around to using, so maybe don’t get your hopes up just yet at seeing an Apple Watch Pro model anytime soon.

Sony is perhaps better known for its entertainment-related products, but on the big screen, in the living room, and on consoles. It is precisely because of that fact that many Xperia phone owners have been rather disappointed that the company didn’t capitalize on those properties to bring at least the PlayStation experience to Android. Now it seems that the company … Continue reading

Twitter Testing Downvote Button For The Web

Earlier this year, it was revealed that Twitter was testing out a way for users to downvote comments. However, this test was limited to iOS devices, but now a tweet by researcher Jane Manchun Wong has revealed that Twitter is now testing out the feature on the web, so you may or may not see it available for you.

We’re not sure if anything has changed from the test earlier this year. Twitter said that the use of the downvote button is to simply let them know what kind of comments or replies you don’t like, which is why you might have downvoted it.

This is versus other platforms such as Reddit, where posts with a lot of downvotes gets pushed further down the comment list or gets hidden if it has received too many downvotes. According to Twitter’s announcement from earlier this year, they state that downvotes won’t be shown publicly.

This means that it won’t affect the order of the comments and replies, but like we said, we’re not sure if this has changed since the last test. It would be ideal if Twitter could adopt a similar approach to other platforms where heavily downvoted comments get hidden or pushed down the list, but we’ll have to wait and see how this plays out once it becomes publicly available.

Apple Refuses To Fix An iPhone They Allegedly Damaged

Perhaps one of the reasons you might choose a first-party repair service over a third-party service is reassurance that should anything go wrong during the repair, the company will actually replace the device for you. But that isn’t the case with Apple, or at least that’s what an iPhone owner Theodore A. Kim is claiming.

According to a report from Business Insider, Kim claims that he purchased the handset while in Vietnam, and when he returned to the US during the pandemic, he discovered that the iPhone was having trouble reading his US SIM card. Apple then advised him to take the phone in for repair to get it fixed as it was still under warranty.

However, they later returned the phone to Kim claiming that they would not fix it as it had been tampered with, and to make matters worse, Kim says that the phone was returned to him with a busted SIM card tray. Apple claims that if this was the case, they would have fixed it, but apparently they didn’t think they broke it and which is why they won’t fix it.

With the warranty voided, Kim even offered to pay to have it fixed, but Apple also refused that. He has since submitted a complaint to the Better Business Bureau, while also suing the company for $1,383.13, the exact price he paid for the iPhone 12.
